It appears that Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs will get a title match opportunity at Wrestlemania 38. They will compete in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match, challenging The Usos in a traditional tag team bout at the Show of Shows.
This week’s WWE SmackDown on FOX witnessed The Usos come out to the show and cut promos on how there’re no relevant challengers available in the locker room to challenge them on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Wrestlemania 38: WWE To Make Change To Announced Title Match
Nakamura and Boogs interrupted which led The Usos to spell out that if Boogs could defeat Jey Uso in a one-on-one bout then, then Nakamura and Boogs would secure a title match at WrestleMania 38. After some ringside shenanigans, Boogs went on to pin Jey by hitting a Boogs Cruise Powerslam to confirm that title shot. But it was Jey who stood tall after the match by smashing Boogs in the back with his guitar to end the segment.
Wrestlemania 38: WWE’s Current Plans Around Stone Cold Appearance
The previous rumors claimed that The Usos would defend their titles in a multi-team match at WrestleMania 38 but for now, Boogs and Nakamura vs. The Usos is the lineup. There’s no update on whether more teams will be added to the fray. WWE has not announced Boogs and Nakamura vs. The Usos, as of this writing while it’s not been informed about which night the match will take place.
