There will reportedly be a change in the already announced Women’s tag team championships match at Wrestlemania 38. The Triple Threat lineup of Sasha Banks and Naomi vs. Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley vs. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Carmella and Queen Zelina Vega has been confirmed for Night Two of the Show of Shows, but that match is scheduled to be altered for a second time.
Per the reports of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan calls for Carmella and Vega to defend their titles in a Fatal-4-Way instead of a Triple Threat matchup. The match at Wrestlemania 38 initially started out as a standard tag team bout with Sasha and Naomi challenging Carmella and Vega but then Morgan and Ripley were added to the fray.

This past Monday on RAW, Morgan, and Ripley defeated the champs in a non-title match. Vega was pinned by Ripley’s Riptide finishing maneuver after which WWE confirmed the Triple Threat lineup.
In an update, a fourth team is scheduled to be in the fray of Wrestlemania 38. One of the members of that team is to include Natalya but the officials had not decided on her tag team partner as of the last word. It’s expected that Shotzi or Shayna Baszler could be the other team member but that has not been confirmed. Natalya and Baszler also teamed up against banks and Naomi on Smackdown but they came up short in picking up the win.

Sonya Deville is now being speculated to team with Natalya which would eventually continue her feud with Naomi, but at this point, it’s just speculation. Deville also needs some sort of role for Wrestlemania 38 and involving her in the tag titles match could be a perfect utilization for her.
