Wrestlemania 40 took place at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania over two nights and lived up to the catchphrase that it was the biggest WWE premium live event of all time. In an update from WWFOldSchool, a number of interesting stats and records have been shared from the first night of the PLE as given below,

Original plan for The Rock got scrapped at Wrestlemania 40
– The Rock, despite being a part-timer, now possesses the record for being in the second-longest match in WrestleMania history. The Rock & Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins lasted for 44 minutes & 35 seconds and it became the second-longest one in the history of the PLE. The longest match in WrestleMania history is Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels in an Iron Man Match at WrestleMania 12, which lasted 1 hour, 1 minute & 56 seconds.
Cody Rhodes Receives Special Gift From WWE After Wrestlemania 40 Win
– The original plan as planned last year for WrestleMania 40 was The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for the main event spot. But, Rock realized they had the opportunity to listen to the fans. They could’ve ignored the fan reaction and still booked Rock vs. Reigns, but that didn’t happen. It was The Rock who eventually decided to go with something WWE has been building for the past 2 years, and that’s to allow Cody Rhodes to finish his story.
– Bianca Belair still remains undefeated at WrestleMania, with an astounding 4-0 record.
