Nikki Cross vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley for the title has now been inserted into the WWE Clash of Champions 2020. After what transpired on SmackDown, the reigning champion has received a new opponent to defend her title while her rivalry with Sasha Banks also continues, at the same time after the attack delivered, last week.
Last Night’s SmackDown witnessed Nikki Cross become the new Number-one Contender for the blue brand’s title by winning a Fatal 4 Way Match also featuring Alexa Bliss, Tamina Snuka, and Lacey Evans. Cross neutralized Evans hitting a Neckbreaker while she blocked a Samoan Drop from Snuka and roll her up to get the win and thus made way to Clash Of Champions 2020.

The contender’s match featured an interesting moment when Alexa Bliss went to help Cross up at ringside. While she tended to help her former tag team partner but instead ended up dropping her with Bray Wyatt’s Sister Abigail finishing move. SmackDown then went to commercial and Bliss was no more seen in the match having Clash of Champions 2020 implications.

Nikki Cross previously faced Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Horror Show at Extreme Rules 2020 back in July. But she failed to win the belt for the. Also, the team of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have failed attempts to pin the team of Sasha Banks and Bayley for the women’s tag team championships on a couple of occasions, earlier this year before both the teams disbanded.
On a related note, Bayley addressed her heinous attack on Sasha Banks en route to Clash Of Champions 2020, on SmackDown. She showed no remorse and was seen rather happy for using her and then take her out of commission with last week’s assault as she looks forward to being the champion forever.
