WWE Day 1 kicked things off in a big way for the WWE in the year 2022. Despite the absence of the main-eventer Roman Reigns due to COVID-9 reasons, a solid PPV outing was delivered by the company. The night ended with Brock Lesnar pulling off his latest WWE Championship win in a Fatal-5-Way Match.
The big move took place in the absence of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Several producers have been revealed from last night’s WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, courtesy of Fightful Select. It appears that Vinnie Mac and the head of the creative team Bruce Prichard were absent from the show that took place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

WWE Day 1 match producers revealed
In their absence, these are the names who ran WWE Day 1 and the matches,
* Shawn Daivari produced SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos retaining over The New Day
* Chris Park produced Drew McIntyre defeating Madcap Moss
* Kenn Doane and Shane Helms produced RAW Tag Team Champions Randy Orton and Riddle retaining over The Street Profits
* Adam Pearce and WWE Hall of Famer Michael “PS” Hayes produced WWE Hall of Famer Edge defeating The Miz in the match also featuring Maryse and Beth Phoenix
* Tyson Kidd and WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly produced Liv Morgan’s loss to RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch
* Jamie Noble produced the Fatal-5-Way main event, which saw Brock Lesnar capture the WWE Title by defeating former champion Big E, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and Kevin Owens
It’s likely that the outcome of the WWE Day 1 main event match will heavily impact the championship picture of both the Raw and Smackdown brand. Brock Lesnar was appearing on the blue brand since his return at Summerslam 2021 but after winning the gold, he could possibly be moving to Raw.
WWE Championship belongs to Raw and Lesnar should make appearances on the red brand following WWE Day 1. There’s no update on when the due Reigns vs. Lesnar matchup will now take place. The program was initially planned to culminate in the main-event match of Wrestlemania 38 but now there could be some changes to the future planning around the show.
