Rey Mysterio Spotted Without Mask In 2021 New Year’s Party
The Mysterio Family was seen having a good time to embrace the new year but in the meantime, Rey Mysterio was unaware of getting clicked with his real face. “Happy New Year,” Aalyah Mysterio captioned the video as her family danced away. Her father can be clearly seen at the bottom of the frame who put on a hood but he didn’t have a mask on.
This isn’t the first time that fans have witnessed Rey Mysterio without his mask. In fact, Aalyah’s Instagram feed has quite a number of images of an unmasked Mysterio. It’s hard to hide his face in public in an age of social media.
Rey Mysterio and his mask were targeted on numerous occasions throughout his WWE career but for once, it wasn’t publicly seen. Other than that, superstars like Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and many more had ripped it off in the past. Back in the WCW days, when Rey just began his career, a storyline saw him removing the sacred mask for just a one-off occasion.
As for the current WWE tenure, Rey Mysterio has been away from WWE TV for quite a few weeks. Aalyah Mysterio and Murphy’s romantic storyline suddenly vanished from WWE television. We have to wait and see whether an eventual return from Seth Rollins brings that back on TV. The Mysterio family meanwhile had a great time for New Year’s while getting time-off from WWE.
Murphy wasn’t obviously around as he is the on-screen lover of Aalyah Mysterio without having any connection with real life. Aalyah was rather spending time with her real-life partner Joshua Thomas at Cobo beach, California to ring in the New Year.
