WWE News: Roman Reigns’ Promo on WWE Raw Was Not Scripted 1

On the last edition of WWE Raw, Roman Reigns cut the promo of a lifetime that will be remembered for a long time.

This was much-needed, at this point time when the pro-wrestling industry is on a rant against him. Vince McMahon established him for another consecutive Wrestlemania main event match which was not taken well the fans. So, the backlash has been ongoing ever since he won the Elimination Chamber match.

Following the victory, it was officially announced The Big Dog will now challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 34. It would be a rematch from four years ago in which the fans seem, the least interested. They know the champion is to get dethroned from his title reign at the hands of the franchise player of the company. Hence, there would not be any surprise in-store.

They certainly don’t want to see another coronation ceremony for the Samoan Superstar who is backed up by Vince McMahon, every single time. To start the storyline angles between the two main-eventers, a segment got announced which was likely to feature Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns on WWE Raw from Anaheim, California. But, it got scrapped from the actual show due to the latter one’s absence.

It got replaced by the promo cut by the soon-to-be Universal Champion. Recently, PWInsider.com gave an update regarding the situation that occurred on Raw after the reigning champion did not show up on that night. According to them, the promo was not on Raw’s script and was added at the very last moment.

To add more interesting information to it, the source added even the promo was not scripted as such. Reigns had to get out original feelings from the heart which earned the best reactions for him to go over as the top babyface of the company.

This would help tremendously while heading towards Wrestlemania. Check out more updates regarding this from SportsKeeda.com,

“Roman Reigns’ passion for the business came across particularly well, with him comparing him making the small towns to Brock not even bothering to make most of the bigger shows. It’s noted that the majority of the promo was not scripted, but most of the verbiage used had been approved by officials with Reigns filling in the blanks on the fly.”

There’s no denying day in and day out; Roman Reigns works hard more than anybody in the WWE to represent the company and sell out each of the arenas. So, this man deserves respect and the championship, as well.
