Vince McMahon decided to rob Kofi Kingston yet again on last night’s Smackdown. As seen on the show, he named Daniel Bryan as the sixth opponent of the gauntlet match, all of a sudden. Prior to the last match started, the Dreadlocked Dynamo of the WWE already pinned the five superstars picked by The Boss to earn his spot at Wrestlemania 35. But McMahon was not ready to give him any Wrestlemania spotlight and hence decided to steal the chance.
New title match set for Wrestlemania 35
Daniel Bryan successfully defeated Kofi Kingston in the sixth and final match of the Gauntlet to keep him out of the Wrestlemania equation. It is Vince McMahon’s official vendetta against the Jamaican superstar that is forcing him to stay out of the biggest event of the year. We have heard on numerous occasions that he does not have the capability to be the main event of the grandest stage of the year.
Now that he lost the final chance, what should be in store for them in the future? WWE dropped a hint of the same by posting a video on the Youtube channel that showed The New Day in a devastating stage. The future is looking blurred for the WWE Superstars as they can’t figure out what to do next. They hinted to possibly quitting WWE after Vince McMahon decided to make their life a living hell.
A battered and dejected Kofi Kingston was sitting with his New Day buddies at the backstage of Smackdown. Xavier Woods and Big E proposed the idea to the veteran superstar to leave WWE. As per them, Kofi had done all he could do but it did not bring the desired outcomes. As much as the WWE Universe would like him to see in the WWE Championship match, it did not happen, per Vince McMahon. The clip ended with The New Day still discussing the idea of leaving the company.
This was not the only happening following Smackdown. A dark segment saw Ricochet and Heavy Machinery defeat SAnitY in six-man tag team action. Plus, Becky Lynch squared off against Charlotte Flair in a rematch from Fastlane to pick up the win via the arm-bar submission move.
