Roman Reigns received another opportunity to gain the Universal Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble event. But, once again, he came up short against the ‘reigning, defending, undisputed’ champion.

He left no stones unturned hitting all of his pendant moves, but in the end, Brock Lesnar won using the rules of the match.

The Big Dog was in control of the match during the end. After hitting Lesnar’s face first into the steel cage, he hit his opponent with a spear through the steel cage.

Lesnar’s body hit the floor first, according to the officials which is why the title was retained. But, the decision was controversial.

As per the footages, it was clear that it was Roman Reigns whose feet hit the floor first. The rules of a steel cage match states ‘both feet have to hit the floor‘ to win it. Lesnar was seen lying on the wall of the cage, whereas, Reigns hit the mat first which should give him the championship. But, that was not the case.

It is clear that the fans were frustrated about this decision. They have already been bored seeing a part-time champion holding the title for over a year. They desperately need to see it changing hands, as early as possible. It is why whenever Roman Reigns will win the title from him, he will get massive cheers from the crowd.

It can be a masterstroke from Vince McMahon who is now literally forcing the fans to starve for a title change. At present, there’s no one viable in the WWE Raw locker room apart from the poster boy of the company who can snatch the title away from the beast incarnate.

So, at one point, this is bound to happen. No one carries the WWE brand like he does which is why a title run is evident for him. WWE officials might have not intentionally let him win the title despite him being the actual favourite. The usual negative reactions are bound to turn into positive, as per this plan.

Going through this organic process, it would be great for WWE since they are hell-bent on letting the fans accept Roman Reigns as the franchise player of the company.

For now, Brock Lesnar might break the 434-day title reign of CM Punk. So, he will continue to be the champion until June.
