WWE News: WWE Not Happy With Ronda Rousey Over Recent Tweets 1

As reported earlier, a nasty Twitter war broke out between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch over the past few hours. The incident began with the latter name posting mugshots of her arrest by Atlanta Police. WWE released some merchandise based on these pictures that came via a TV storyline. But as fans, we are supposed to see this as a real angle where The Man was in jail.

Ronda danced in a Bollywood number

Surprising everyone, Ronda Rousey replied that it was a fake incident. She broke the kayfabe rules maintained by the WWE. Going forward, Becky Lynch went on to infuriate her potential Wrestlemania opponent mentioning Ronda’s husband, Travis Browne. This made the WWE Raw women’s champion go nuts as she promised to beat the s*** out of Becky, the next time she sees her.

As a worker of PG-company, she should have been more careful while using this kind of language. Vince McMahon is quite strict when it comes to maintaining the company’s PG status. Hence, Ronda Rousey could land up in the doghouse, as per the current reports. There could be certain consequences for the former UFC Bantamweight Champion is she stays in hot water.

WrestleVotes was the source to report that WWE officials are not happy with Ronda Rousey using such violent words. They are not unhappy about the media attention that these tweets are getting for the last couple of days. But the inappropriate language could be a headache for them. Here’s what the source stated,

“Rousey / Becky Lynch Twitter stuff this afternoon. The “word for word” language was not approved by WWE. Don’t be naïve & think it was. Sure, WWE wants to drum up attention to the storyline via social media feud, but they certainly aren’t thrilled w/ some of the wording used.”

We should note that Becky Lynch was able to maintain the kayfabe by staying within her character. But Ronda Rousey has certainly crossed the limits and being accused as the guilty. Only time will tell whether this would force her to digest some sort of punishment. Meanwhile, this does not come as a piece of good news for her future WWE status, at all. If dealing with a negative backlash in the locker room for those tweets, her future departure might just get preponed.
