WWE NXT progressed the storylines for the next Specials from their side set for the Wrestlemania 38 weekend. A few matches for the upcoming night have been announced on the show which had the NXT Title on the line in the main event bout. Plus, a former NXT UK Superstar made his debut on the show that took place at WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
– WWE NXT 2.0 kicked off The Miz hosting a Miz TV segment with the new NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler claimed to be a fighting champion in response to which LA Knight came out and wanted to be his first challenger for the title. The Miz then accepted the title match on the champion’s behalf and announced it to be the main event of the night.
Wrestlemania 38: New WWE Unified Championship Design Revealed?
– Cora Jade informed that Raquel Gonzalez will be out of action for 4-6 weeks after Toxic Attraction’s attack. Cora also stole WWE NXT Women’s Title and NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles to keep the champions on the hunt.
– Santos Escobar defeated Cameron Grimes in a singles encounter to qualify for the NXT North American Title Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver 2022 edition. Escobar delivered a Phantom Driver to pick up the pinfall win.
WWE Raw: Top Superstar Confirmed To Return Before Wrestlemania 38
– A-Kid defeated Kushida to earn an opportunity to go to the next NXT Specials. He pinned Kushida via a big moonsault into a DDT to get the win after which he will now face Grayson Waller in a singles contest, next week. If he gets the win then he will be added to the North American Title match at NXT Stand and Deliver.
WWE NXT 2.0 Results (15/03/22): The Mysterios appear
– Dominik and Rey Mysterio made a surprise appearance on WWE NXT to confront Legado Del Fantasma. Dominik was booked for a match against one of them.
– Tiffany Stratton defeated Sarray in the next match by attacking at the entranceway. Stratton hit a twisting Vader Bomb from the second rope for the pin to get the quick win.
– Tommaso Ciampa said announced that he would leave WWE NXT following NXT Stand and Deliver and he’s looking forward to a perfect ending for the stint. Tony D’Angelo came out and wanted to be his opponent at Stand and Deliver. Ciampa accepted to make the match, official but he was then low-blowed by Tony.
– Indi Hartwell defeated Persia Pirotta in a friendly contest via a roll-up. After the match, Indi and Dexter Lumis had a Kiss-Off contest against Persia and Duke Hudson as both the couples made out inside the ring.
– Dominik Mysterio defeated Raul Mendoza in a singles contest with the Frogsplash move. Rey Mysterio neutralized Santos Escobar by taking him out at the ringside to make way for Dom to get the win.
– Toxic Attraction attacked Cora Jade and got their belts back. Mandy Rose spray-painted Cora on the back with the Toxic Attraction logo. Mandy Rose vs. Cora Jade for WWE NXT Women’s Title was announced for NXT Stand & Deliver.
– Imperium (c) vs. MSK vs. Creed Brothers in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match for WWE NXT Tag Team Championship was also confirmed for Stand & Deliver after a verbal confrontation segment.
– Dolph Ziggler (c) defeated LA Knight to retain WWE NXT Championship in the main event of the show. Ziggler ducked out of a BFT finisher before connecting with a Superkick for the win. After the match, Bron Breakker came out and challenged Ziggler for the NXT Title at Stand & Deliver. Ziggler accepted the challenge to make the match, official.
