This week’s WWE NXT marked the final episode before the Deadline pay-per-view set for this weekend. The final two Iron Survivor Challenge participants from both Men’s and Women’s Division were determined on this episode.
The New Day and one more Smackdown Superstar made surprise appearances on the show. Also, Tony D’Angelo made his return on the December 6 episode of WWE NXT that took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the results,
– Axiom defeated Andre Chase (with Thea Hail and Duke Hudson) and Von Wagner (with Mr. Stone) in a Triple Threat to secure the final spot in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at WWE NXT Deadline. Chase almost had Wagner pinned after a top-rope splash but he failed to capitalize as Axiom delivered The Golden Ratio to Wagner for the win.
WWE Raw: Major Title Match Challenger To Be Revealed On December 12 Episode
– NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Apollo Crews were featured in a pre-taped fishing segment ahead of their Title match at NXT Deadline. Apollo caught a fish and taunted Bron by stating that it wasn’t his day and the same will be the case at Deadline.
WWE NXT Results (06/12/22): New title match setup
– Tony D’Angelo (with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) defeated Xyon Quinn in his returning match. Tony easily pinned his opponent with his Swinging Fisherman Suplex finisher and then sent a message to WWE NXT North American Champion Wes Lee. Dijak also had the same intention and thus teased a three-way match, down the road.

– Charlie Dempsey defeated Hank Walker via the Regal Stretch submission. Drew Gulak of Smackdown came out during the match t witness the finish.
– Scrypts featured in a pre-taped promo and threatened to attack chosen one wrestler on NXT.
WWE NXT Results (06/12/22): The New Day Appears
– WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly appeared in the “A Real Christmas Story” segment. After flattering themselves for having an impressive 2022, they wanted to achieve bigger in 2023.
Smackdown roster members The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) then appeared out of nowhere on NXT and issued a challenge for the NXT Tag Team Titles at NXT Deadline. Instead of accepting, Pretty Deadly attacked them to ensue a brawl. New Day sent the champs outside the ring after which the title match between these two teams was confirmed.
– Lyra Valkyria was announced to make her debut on NXT, next week.
– Isla Dawn defeated Thea Hail (with Andre Chase and Duke Hudson), easily in her WWE NXT in-ring debut after delivering her Half-Nelson Suplexes. After the match, smoke filled the ring and Alba Fyre came out of it to attack Dawn. The referees came out to separate these two. Accidentally, Dawn spit her green mist on a referee.
– Josh Briggs and Brooks Jenson defeated Malik Blade and Edris Enofe (with Odyssey Jones) in a tag team match. Von Wagner started brawling with Jones in between the match. Briggs and Jensen delivered a half-and-half lariat combo on Enofe for the pin-fall win.
– Indi Hartwell defeated Fallon Henley and Wendy Choo in a Triple Threat Match to gain the final spot in the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge set for WWE NXT Deadline.
After a top rope splash from Choo, Hartwell tossed Choo out of the ring and delivered a sliding lariat to the back of Henley’s head for the win. Hartwell then sent a warning to Mandy Rose about ending her lengthy NXT Women’s Title reign.
– In the main event segment of WWE NXT, Grayson Waller hosted The Grayson Waller Effect with Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match participants for Deadline. As expected, a brawl broke out after JD McDonagh head-butted Waller. The five men kept on brawling as the show went off the air.
