In the main event of Night One of NXT Spring Breakin 2024, Trick Williams defeated Ilja Dragunov to win the NXT Championship. This was a shocking outcome for the NXT fans but at the same time, it perhaps signals toward the official main roster arrival of the former champion as the Draft begins this week.
Dragunov was in control of this headliner of NXT Spring Breakin 2024 in the first half. A desperate Williams survived a coast-to-coast maneuver from Dragunov to gain back some momentum as he hit an H-Bomb to Dragunov as well as a Torpedo Moscow. Dragunov kicked out of those finishers but he was ultimately pinned with the Trick Shot finisher.

Moreover, he thanked everyone who supported him in this journey and vowed to be a fighting champion like a true babyface,
