WWE will deliver the first-ever two-night special event from the black and yellow brand named WWE NXT TakeOver Stand and Deliver. The WrestleMania 37 week special show to be aired on two separate streaming platforms on two nights. The company has recently confirmed the main event matches for both Night I and II of the show to promote them in the forthcoming weeks.
The second night of WWE NXT TakeOver Stand and Deliver will witness Karrion Kross challenging the NXT Champion Finn Balor to reclaim the Title. It should be noted that Kross won the title on his very first opportunity against Keith Lee back in May, last year. But a shoulder injury caused him to vacate the belt after which Balor won that relinquished belt.

Now that Kross is coming after what he never lost, Balor’s days as a champion is definitely numbered. During Sunday Night’s Main Event Podcast, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s current plan for Karrion Kross. He was supposed to have a long run with the NXT Title after winning it from Keith Lee at WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House but the injury never allowed it to happen.

Karrion Kross is the favorite to win at WWE NXT TakeOver Stand and Deliver
This upcoming Title Match at WWE NXT TakeOver Stand and Deliver could be an opportunity for him to pick up where he left off. That being said, Kross is a heavy favorite to become the new champion at the upcoming PPV event.
“He had the title. He got injured so they took it away, but he was scheduled for a run, you know to make a name. So, I presume, because Balor was just a plug-in when he was gone, that they are going to go back [to Kross as NXT Champion],” stated Meltzer during the discussion. (Transcription by Ringside News)
WWE management is quite heavy on Karrion Kross who is destined to be a top superstar on the main roster, too. So an alternate theory was also pitched by the source in case a title change doesn’t happen at WWE NXT TakeOver Stand and Deliver.
It was noted that Karrion Kross might just lose in this opportunity in case WWE plans to send him into the main roster, instead. The former Impact Wrestling superstar always had a ton of momentum with him and that injury set him back for some time. Now he has a title shot to go to the top at WWE NXT TakeOver Stand and Deliver and it’ll be interesting to see which of the above-mentioned routes WWE takes for Kross during the WrestleMania week event.
