The night of WWE Raw after Wrestlemania generally features multiple surprises and last night was no different. Matt Riddle, who was taken out of action thanks to a brutal beatdown from Solo Sikoa months ago, found his way back to WWE programming on the show. While this is the kayfabe side of the story, the truth is that Riddle was going through rehab which kept him out of action for such a long time.
Riddle made his big return on WWE RAW after WrestleMania on a MIZ TV segment hosted by The Miz. The host of the segment came out during the last hour of the show and he was seemingly not happy about how WrestleMania turned out for him after getting beaten by the likes of Pat McAfee, George Kittle, Shane McMahon, and then Snoop Dogg.

The A-Lister made it clear that he didn’t want any more surprises on WWE Raw after Wrestlemania. Soon after his demand, Matt Riddle’s music hit and he walked out to the ring to a big pop from the Los Angeles crowd. With a big smile on his face, he asked fans if they had missed him for so many months.

The Miz tried to attack Riddle, but it didn’t work that way. Matt Riddle simply backfired with some quick offenses before finally planting him with the Bro Derek finisher. It’ll be interesting to see what Matt Riddle is planning to do on WWE Raw after returning on board. Perhaps, this return has already initiated a feud against The Miz.
Riddle was off WWE Raw due to a suspeension
For those who don’t know, on the Road to WrestleMania 39, Riddle was suspended for 60 days in December after failing WWE’s wellness policy for a second time. WWE sent him to rehab and a denial in the process could have fired him in the process. Back in the day, UFC fired Riddle over marijuana use, the same company that’s been merged with the WWE from last night.
Ringside News previously reported that WWE had no WrestleMania plans for Matt Riddle. He attended an awards show for the adult film industry this past January which was his final public appearance before showing up on this week’s WWE Raw.
