For months now, WWE fans have been complaining about AJ Styles’ position in the company. The older version of the top superstar where he could be entertaining the fans with his in-ring skills was absent for a long time. Hence, a change was needed big-time for the top superstar from the Raw brand and it’s happening, sooner than later. The ongoing feuds will ensure the same for the veteran talent.
WWE fans were not pleased after the advertised match between AJ Styles and Omos was pulled off the final Raw of 2021. But that was made up with a solid match as The Phenomenal One took on the former champion in Apollo Crews, instead. AJ showed glimpses of his older version which brought joy to his fanbase.

The feud between AJ and Omos had just begun as their run as a tag team came to an end. There are big plans in place for the two after their split. The first match of the feud didn’t go down as planned since Omos wasn’t even present in Little Caesar’s Arena where the match was supposed to take place. But things should go well as AJ Styles is undergoing a massive character alteration.
AJ Styles should become a strong babyface
Mike Johnson of PW Insider discussed the status of the former WWE Champion and Omos. In addition to reporting that Omos left Detroit before the start of Raw, he stated the two have done some sort of untelevised double-turn. AJ Styles is now a face while Omos remains a heel. This is also the reason why his Wrestlemania opponent Edge has turned heel to give a new dimension to their feud.
“Going forward in WWE storylines, AJ Styles is now a babyface according to several WWE sources.
Omos is, somehow, still a heel, despite the initial breakup between he and Styles tilting in the exact opposite direction.”
For those who don’t know, AJ Styles and Omos already featured in a match at the untelevised house show from the Madison Square Garden in New York. But obviously, this match needs to happen on TV, that’s on an upcoming episode of Raw where AJ should solidify his babyface turn. In the meantime, AJ has also feuded with NXT’s top heel in Grayson Waller to culminate in a match at New Year’s Evil 2022.
