As Wrestlemania 40 build-ups began in early 2024, a huge bout has been under speculation with Becky Lynch being seemingly focused on winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber 2024 to become the next challenger for the Women’s World Championship. That bout was eventually confirmed at Elimination Chamber where she ended up winning the Women’s Chamber match.
Going into Wrestlemania 40, the feud between Becky Lynch and Nia Jax also moved forward, side by side. The two previously collided on Raw in 2024 and secured one win each which led them in a physically battering situation. The animosity set up a rubber match as the two women collided in a Last Woman Standing Match on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.
A range of foreign objects like chairs, steel steps, kendo sticks, tables, ladders, and even a fire extinguisher were used during this match. In the end, it was Becky Lynch who picked up the win after a Man Handle and then a leg drop through the table from on top of a ladder.

In the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match for Women’s World Championship Match at WrestleMania 40, Becky Lynch defeated Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Raquel Rodriguez to solidify her spot at the Show of Shows. Later, Rhea Ripley predictably defeated Nia Jax on that night to retain her title to confirm her showdown with THE MAN.
Soon after capturing the win on the March 18 episode of Raw, Becky Lynch eventually had a confrontation with Rhea Ripley. The champion came out to cut her opponent’s celebration short but the challenger stood up against her to send a stern warning that she wouldn’t back down from a tough fight at Wrestlemania XL.
