More Wrestlemania announcements could be foreseen as we head towards this week’s edition of WWE Raw. WWE Hall of Famer Edge is the supposed headliner of the show as he continues his search over his ‘Mania opponent.
Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens will prepare for their upcoming title match while United States Champion Damian Priest will put his title on the line against a former Universal Champion when WWE’s flagship show airs from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
Last week’s episode of WWE Raw witnessed Edge making his first appearance since teaming with his wife, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, to pick a win over The Miz and Maryse at the Royal Rumble, last month. Edge then cut a promo on his WrestleMania history to lay down a challenge for WrestleMania 38 to anyone in the locker room.
Edge vs. AJ Styles is highly rumored for WrestleMania due to a reference from the promo where Edge wanted to make him feel “phenomenal.” The veteran also made apparent references to Finn Balor (demon), WWE United States Champion Damian Priest (live forever), and Cody Rhodes (undeniable, smoke/mirrors) to tease some dream matches.
In an update, Edge has now been confirmed to make another appearance on WWE Raw, this week to address his Wrestlemania future. WWE noted on their preview that the challenge has been laid down from The Rated R Superstar’s side and it’s now up to someone from the locker room to step up and accept it.

In the main event of last week’s WWE Raw, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens defeated Team RK-Bro to earn the rights to get into the tag team title picture. The match has been confirmed to take place, next week which will be a triple threat featuring the champions, Alpha Academy. All three teams will be prepping for the match scheduled for next week while Owens may just continue his beef with Texas people which could lead to some sort of angle with Texas legend, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
WWE Raw Preview (28/02/22): United States Title Match
Finn Balor returned to action on last week’s WWE RAW. AS WWE NXT Superstar Tommaso Ciampa continued appearing on the red brand to continue his feud with Dolph Ziggler, Ciampa brought Balor back to be his tag team partner against Ziggler and Robert Roode. Ciampa also pinned Roode for the win.
This was Balor’s first match since losing to Austin Theory on the January 17 episode of WWE RAW. Per storyline, a beatdown on Balor in that match kept him out of action until now. But now, he will also receive a title match opportunity.
Later on that night, United States Champion Damian Priest defeated Shelton Benjamin with authority to retain his title. It appeared that he wasn’t contented with that win and wanted a top-caliber opponent heading into Wrestlemania 38. Out came Balor to accept that opportunity to set up Balor vs. Priest that is confirmed to take place at this week’s WWE Raw.

Going by the vignette aired for WWE Raw, Brock Lesnar has been featuring on it while there’s nothing confirmed on his appearance, tonight. He was there on Smackdown to sign the Wrestlemania match contract with Roman Reigns where the WWE and Universal Title will be unified. Also, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will be there onboard to escalate her rivalry with Bianca Belair over the title.
