Massive fallouts are expected on this week’s WWE Smackdown from the latest bygone Clash at the Castle PPV event. After Solo Sikoa helped Roman Reigns to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, he’s likely to face consequences from the challenger. Also, a former WWE Universal Champion will be present on the show that takes place at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.
In the main event of WWE Clash at the Castle 2022, Roman Reigns defeated Drew McIntyre to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. With that, the reign of terror on WWE Smackdown will continue which has now surpassed 735 days.
McIntyre said the following about his devastating loss in his home country,
“Everything’s come really full circle, and to dream and talk about this show for so long, to see it materialize, the first UK stadium show in 30 years, not to be everything I dreamed of and thought it could be, it was so much more.”
Roman Reigns is not scheduled to be on this week’s WWE Smackdown and he’s not booked to perform at Extreme Rules PLE, either set for next month. In his absence, it’s likely that McIntyre will move forward to start a feud with Karrion Kross for his sneak attack after Summerslam. The feud was indicated after the duo was featured in a confrontation at Clash at the Castle.

WWE Smackdown Preview (09/09/22): New roster members
It should be noted that McIntyre’s loss at Clash at the Castle wasn’t a clean one. At one point, he had the champion downed with the claymore kick only to receive a near fall. This happened as Solo Sikoa pulled out the referee of the ring and then also took a shot at McIntyre before Reigns pinned him with the spear for the win.
With this move, Solo Sikoa has become the latest addition to the WWE Smackdown roster as well as a member of The Bloodline faction. PWInsider also reports that the third Uso will also be appearing on Friday nights from now onward. We wonder whether he will face any repercussions, tonight for his actions at the bygone PPV.

Speaking of new additions to WWE Smackdown, Braun Strowman is also another concerning name in this capacity. After returning to WWE on Monday’s Raw, the former Universal Champion has been announced for tonight’s episode. Nothing, in particular, was announced regarding his activities but it’s likely that he will showcase his brutal power on any member of the blue brand.
Strowman appeared in a backstage promo on Raw that he would be at WWE SmackDown, promising to give answers to the questions on how and why he returned to the company. This return came 15 months after being released by WWE as part of the promotion’s COVID-19 budget cuts in June 2021. He had since appeared for the Control Your Narrative promotion.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan had a successful title defense against Shayna Baszler at the Clash at the Castle event. After getting over the punishments handed by the challenger, Morgan hit a code breaker followed by the ObLivion finisher to get the pin to win. Now, it’s turn for the next challenger to step up to The Miracle Kid for a title match opportunity.
In another interesting situation from Clash at the Castle, the Imperium faction (Giovanni Vinci/Fabian Aichner with WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser) was back together. Gunther had his first defense as the WWE Intercontinental Champion against Sheamus in a brutal matchup that was critically acclaimed. We assume Imperium could stretch out the feud with Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland for a future six-man tag team title match.
