The road to WWE Day 1 continues through WWE Smackdown with The Beast Incarnate making his presence felt on the show in the possible headliner. To sell out the show from Hollywood, a stacked card has been announced apart from this appearance.

Team RK-Bro has been added to the card to take part in a Triple Threat. A non-title affair will go down to decide the next challenger for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. Also, a former NXT Superstar will make her debut on the show that takes place from the Crypto.com Arena (Staples Center) in Los Angeles, California.

At WWE Day 1, Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Title against Brock Lesnar. This match was booked after last week’s main event match where the champion retained over Sami Zayn, who became the number-one contender by winning the Black Friday Battle Royal, the week prior.

Before the match, Brock Lesnar interrupted Zayn ended up taking him out with three German suplexes and then two F5s. This attack was the reason why Reigns had an easy win on WWE Smackdown main event with a quick Spear and the Guillotine submission. Now that Zayn is no more in the title picture, Lesnar will be there on this week’s Hollywood special to make some more statements to the Tribal Chief.

In the latest announcement for the show, it has been noted that the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will take on Toni Storm in a non-title Championship Contender match. If Toni gets success in picking up a pinfall or submission win over the champion then she will get an opportunity to the title.

Flair and Storm have been feuding for a few weeks now over a title shot. Storm has recently featured in a number of confrontations with The Queen pledging for a title match but it’s been denied. The two have also hit each other with pies in the face to escalate the feud. Going by the looks, the storyline will lead to a title match at Day 1.

Former NXT Superstar Xia Li will debut “The Protector” gimmick on this week’s WWE SmackDown. This will be her first TV appearance since getting the call on the blue brand in the WWE Draft in October. WWE has previously explained how this star possesses a “hard-hitting fighting style as the first Chinese-born female Superstar”. There’s no update on who she’d compete in a match.

Sonya Deville vs. Naomi was already set for this week’s WWE SmackDown, in what could mark their already stretched feud. This would eventually mark Deville’s first match since losing the No-DQ Loser Leaves WWE Match to current NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose at SummerSlam 2020.

Deville teamed up with Shayna Baszler to pick up a win over Naomi in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match on the October 15 episode. It was Baszler who did all the in-ring works and Deville only scored the pinfall win.
