WWE will present the final episode of SmackDown before Extreme Rules 2021, this week. Universal Championship will be the pivotal point of the show while the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line. Liv Morgan will be in action against Zelina Vega in a singles contest. Also, Happy Corbin will debut a new talk-show on the episode that takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Roman Reigns has a huge chip on his shoulder, as of this writing as Brock Lesnar has his sights set on the Universal Championship picture. But before crossing paths with The Beast, he will meet a Demon, this Sunday night. At Extreme Rules, Finn Balor’s demon version will be waiting for him with the Universal Title hanging on the line.

Back on this week’s RAW, Roman Reigns picked up two huge victories which were enough to solidify his undisputed top spot in the WWE. But if anyone can defy that position, it’s certainly the Demon King who is yet to be defeated in the WWE. That being said, we expect Balor’s alter-ego to bring one final message before the title match to the Tribal Chief on SmackDown.

Last week, Liv Morgan and Toni Storm defeated Carmella and Zelina Vega via count-out after Mella thought her nose was ruptured by Morgan. After the match, a frustrated Morgan issued a challenge to Carmella for Extreme Rules and promised to make her look even uglier at the PPV.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville later confirmed Morgan vs. Carmella for the pay-per-view in a backstage segment in the trainer’s room. Vega was present, there who stated that if Morgan wants Carmella at Extreme Rules then she will have to face her on this week’s SmackDown. Since then, WWE has confirmed Morgan vs. Vega for tonight in a rematch as the feud between the two should culminate with this match.

WWE Extreme Rules 2021: Stipulation Announced; Changes Made To Title Match

WWE Intercontinental Championship will be defended on this Extreme Rules go-home edition of SmackDown where the champion King Shinsuke Nakamura will defend his title against Apollo Crews. This is going to be Crews’ rematch for the title after Nakamura won the belt back on the August 13 edition of SmackDown.

Last week, Rick Boogs defeated Robert Roode in a singles contest with Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler watching from ringside. After the match, Boogs and Nakamura celebrated with SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee until Crews and Commander Azeez attacked the babyfaces.

The heel duo destroyed Nakamura and Boogs at ringside and left them laying. Crews then took the mic and declared that Nakamura didn’t try to elevate the prestige of the Intercontinental Title, so he’s coming to take it back. WWE has since confirmed that Crews will get his rematch for the title.
