This week’s edition of WWE Smackdown won’t be a live edition since the superstars have flown to the United Kingdom for some live events. Hence the tapings for the live TV edition were done, last week where a Beat the Clock Challenge served as a headliner. Besides a Steel Cage Match will feature on the show as a co-main-event.
In more news for the April 29 WWE Smackdown, Team RK-Bro will be in attendance to sign the contract to make their Undisputed tag team title match official against The Usos at Wrestlemania Backlash. WWE Intercontinental Champion will put his title on the line. Also, former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Rodriguez will make her in-ring debut on the main roster on the show-taping that took place at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York.
Top WWE Raw Superstar Moving To Title Picture After Heel Turn?

A Steel Cage match between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn has been confirmed for WWE Smackdown as a result of what transpired over the last couple of weeks. Zayn ran away from McIntyre two weeks ago to set up a Lumberjack match, last week. But then he still managed to retreat through the crowd.
McIntyre was irate about the outcome of the contest and WWE Official Adam Pearce came up with a perfect solution as he announced the Steel Cage match so that Sami can’t escape by any means.

For the second time in three weeks, WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet will defend his title. This time the gigantic Shanky will be his challenger. Last week on WWE Smackdown, Jinder Mahal confronted Ricochet over the title match where he was defeated by the champion. Then Shanky arrived at the scene and ended up challenging Ricochet which was accepted without much delay.

Raquel Gonzalez used to be a top superstar on NXT who is now residing on WWE Smackdown under the new name of Raquel Rodriguez. After appearing for three weeks in backstage segments, she will finally make her in-ring debut, this week.
Big Mami Cool was called up to the main roster a few weeks back during the post-Wrestlemania episode of Smackdown and WWE featured yet another vignette on her dominance, last week to inform that she will be in action, this week. WWE did not officially announce her opponent but she ended up facing an enhancement talent at the bygone taping.
Two weeks ago, it was confirmed that WWE RAW Tag Team Titles will be unified with WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles as the Undisputed Tag Team Titles Match will go down at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022. As the feud between the two respective title-holders continues, now a contract signing segment will be seen, tonight as they make the title match, official. Team RK-Bro and The Usos will be in the same ring to put their signatures on the papers.
An I Quit Beat The Clock Challenge featuring Ronda Rousey and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is also being promoted for tonight. This comes as a prelude to their upcoming I Quit battle over the women’s title at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022.
WWE did not announce their opponents, but at the tapings, Rousey competed against Shotzi while Flair was in action against Aliyah in an attempt to upstage one another before locking horns over the blue brand title.
