Roman Reigns vs. Logan Paul set for WWE Crown Jewel 2022
The night before, that’s on the September 16 episode of SmackDown, Paul called out Roman Reigns and asked him to meet him face-to-face at a press conference in Las Vegas. This came after The Tribal Chief of the WWE appeared as a guest on Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. The host of the show revealed that he wanted to face Reigns, possibly to take away the dual belts off him to initiate the feud.
At the 2021 Crown Jewel, Roman Reigns retained the WWE Universal Title by defeating Brock Lesnar in the first match of their lengthy reignited feud. He would later become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion by defeating then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 Night 2 on April 3 in a Winner Takes All bout.
In the latest, Roman Reigns retained the title against Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle on September 3 before heading into the battle against Logan Paul in Crown Jewel. It will be the only third match for Paul in WWE. He made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38, teaming with The Miz to defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Then at Summerslam, he defeated The Miz in a one-on-one match.
