Wrestlemania Smackdown had one of the co-main events in the form of the 2022 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Smackdown Superstar Madcap Moss stood by the end of the battle royal to hold the prestigious trophy and etch his name on it as the 8th winner.
Wrestlemania Smackdown on FOX opened up with the Battle Royal, where Moss himself got the win without any help from his tag team partner, Happy Corbin.

The final five in the match came down to Moss, Ciampa, Ziggler, Balor, and Roode. Ziggler eliminated Ciampa by hitting a Superkick. Moss eliminated Ziggler and Roode as they were focused on Balor. Moss eliminated Balor to get the win and had his moment on Wrestlemania Smackdown.

Thus after Wrestlemania Smackdown, Moss became the eighth winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal after SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jey Uso, Braun Strowman, Matt Hardy, Mojo Rawley, Happy Baron Corbin, Big Show, and Cesaro. Corbin made a ringside appearance during this match, trying to cheer up his friend which eventually caused a distraction, but Moss ultimately managed to secure the biggest victory of his WWE career.
