It was the 24th match (League Stage) of the 2019 ODI World Cup. After England decided to bat first, their top-orders played big knocks to secure the big first-innings total (Jonny Bairstow 90, Joe Root 88 and captain Eoin Morgan 148).

Moeen Ali came to bat at late when the hosts were batting on 362/5 in 47.4 overs. The no.7-positioned left-handed batsman Ali finished that innings on 31 not out off just nine balls (only four and 4 sixes), with the outstanding strike-rate of 344.44.

After England scored 397/6 in 50 overs, they restricted Bangladesh to 247/8 (50 overs) and won by 150 runs.
