Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has recently revealed his view on the future of the legendary Indian World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni.
The 38-year-old MS Dhoni is mostly famous for his successful leadership, outstanding batting along with top-class finishing skill, smart wicketkeeping and of course cool & calm nature. Not only many Indians but also many people from foreign cricket countries are also fans of Dhoni.

However, the former successful Indian captain hasn’t played a cricket match yet in almost the last nine months. Dhoni last time played during the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on 10th July 2019 where India just lost the game against New Zealand despite the inspiring fighting knocks from Ravindra Jadeja and Dhoni.
Since then, there is no clarification about the future of Dhoni, which has raised many speculations. While some believe that Dhoni already played his last game for India, some feel that Dhoni will decide his future after the IPL 2020.

His presence in the IPL 2020 as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has already been confirmed. But, due to the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus outbreak, the IPL 2020 has been postponed. Just like the future of IPL 2020, Dhoni’s future in cricket career is also under the dark cloud.
I feel MS Dhoni may have one more burst in the next 2 years for India: Brad Hogg
However, Brad Hogg believes that Dhoni will not announce his retirement even if the IPL 2020 gets cancelled. The former all-rounder feels that Dhoni still can serve for India productively in the next two years.

Hogg tweeted his reply during a recent Q&A session, “Speculation, I don’t think he will announce it, he seems pretty calm about things & moves onto the next thing he needs to accomplish. It’s been an entertaining career, let’s enjoy what he has done! I feel he may have one more burst in the next 2 years for India. #Hoggytime”

However, Hogg earlier claimed that he didn’t believe Dhoni would play for India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 due to getting lack of preparation time.
