The 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will begin soon. Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin feels that the Indian national cricket team has the top chance to win the upcoming Cricket World Cup. He will be very disappointed if India fails to win the forthcoming Cricket World Cup.
The second-ranked ODI side India is one of the in-form teams in the present international cricket. Many experts have already picked up India as one of the favourite teams in the upcoming Cricket World Cup.

Azharuddin also believes that India has a great chance to win the upcoming tournament due to having a great team. He especially praised the Indian bowlers by calling them as world-class bowlers.
The former Indian captain told PTI, “We have a very good chance. We have a very good team. We have very good bowlers. A lot of people are saying if the wickets are favouring the bowlers, we will find it difficult. But even our bowlers can also get the opposition out. We have got world-class bowlers.
“We have a very good team. I will be very disappointed if they don’t win.”
The no.1-ranked ODI bowler Jasprit Bumrah is in excellent form along with the other pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami. Meanwhile, India has also the world-class spinners like the leggie Yuzvendra Chahal and the left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav. While Yadav is the no.7-ranked ODI bowler, Chahal is the no.8-ranked ODI bowler.
In cricket, you never know. Anything can happen – Mohammad Azharuddin
The 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will begin on 30th May, and it will run till 14th July. England and Wales are ready to host this 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup. A total of top ten teams will compete to win this World Cup trophy. These participating teams are England (hosts), Australia (defending champions), New Zealand, India, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Windies.
Though Azharuddin has already picked up India as the top favourite side for the new Cricket World Cup, he also reminds that anything can happen in cricket. England and Australia are his next favourite teams who can win the forthcoming World Cup.

Azharuddin added, “I think so. India, I think (India) are number one, second England, third Australia. Because, in cricket, you never know. Anything can happen. The team who plays well on a particular day always wins. There are going to be upsets also, but hopefully not with our team.”
India will begin their upcoming Cricket World Cup journey on 5th June when they will meet South Africa at Southampton.
India has won two Cricket World Cups till the date. Under Kapil Dev‘s captaincy, India won their first World Cup trophy in 1983 in England. After 28 years of that tournament victory, India achieved their second World Cup victory under MS Dhoni’s captaincy (2011).
