ToggleOn Wednesday (18th December), the hosts India will play the second ODI of the three-match ODI series against Windies at Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium (Vishakhapatnam).
Windies are currently leading this series by the 1-0 margin after winning the Chennai ODI by eight wickets (with 13 balls remaining). While the hosts scored 287/8 (50 overs) in the first innings after losing the toss, Windies chased down that target in 47.5 overs after losing two wickets.
Here is the predicted XI for India for the upcoming Visakhapatnam ODI.
Rohit Sharma

After many top performances in this calendar year, Rohit Sharma‘s form has slightly gone down. Since the Bangladesh tour of India 2019/20, Rohit has mostly failed to score big runs in international cricket as he has failed to reach 40-run mark in seven out of last nine innings. To win this series, Rohit needs to perform strongly.
KL Rahul

In the absence of the opener Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul is playing positive cricket consistently as an opener. However, Rahul is still struggling to perform in back-to-back matches which are very important to set his spot in the team.
Virat Kohli (C)

Indian captain Virat Kohli was dismissed for just four runs in the Chennai ODI which was his rare poor performance in these days. However, the no.1-ranked ODI batsman doesn’t take much time to return to his normal game after a weak performance.
Shreyas Iyer

While Shreyas Iyer is getting enough time to bat, he has mostly impressed as the right-handed batsman has already scored five half-centuries in eight ODI innings. In his last three ODIs, which were all against Windies, Iyer scored three successive half-centuries.
Rishabh Pant (wk)

After facing many criticisms, the young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has finally been praised for his brilliant performance in Chennai ODI. While the hosts were struggling in Chennai ODI, Pant scored crucial 71 runs off 69 balls. The Indian cricket fans want to see more good performances from the wicketkeeper-batsman.
Kedar Jadhav

Coming to bat in the 37th over, Kedar Jadhav added crucial 40 runs (35 balls) and also had a 59-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja for the sixth wicket.
Shivam Dube

While the Chennai ODI was the debut ODI for Shivam Dube, he had not good experiences. Coming to bat in the 48th over, the left-handed batsman scored nine runs off six balls. Later, the right-arm medium pacer was very expensive as he had the bowling figures of 7.5-0-68-0. He surely wants to come out from this poor experience as soon as possible.
Deepak Chahar

After some great performances in T20 cricket, Deepak Chahar is now facing the test of ODI cricket. While the Chennai game was only his second ODI match, he finished as the best Indian bowler (1/48) among the struggling bowling line-up.
Mohammed Shami

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is currently in his good form with the ball in hand. In the last game, while the Indian bowlers were less effective, Shami dismissed Shimron Hetmyer, who was the Player of the Match for his 139 runs knock off 106 balls. The right-arm pacer is very important in the present Indian bowling line-up.
Kuldeep Yadav

The left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav is still searching wickets. He needs to take four more wickets in his next ODI to become the fastest Indian bowler to claim 100 ODI wickets.
Yuzvendra Chahal

India set the playing XI for the Chennai ODI without the leggie Yuzvendra Chahal, who recently troubled many batsmen in the T20Is. While the Indian bowlers struggled in the last ODI, Chahal can make a return to the ODI squad.
