Initially, WWE had some plans for Sasha Banks heading into the show of shows this April 5th. After uncertainties over her WrestleMania appearance, it was reported that she would be in action in some capacity.
Although, no confirmed update is still available on what could be the match that WWE might arrange for her. After all, it sounds illogical that she would go after the SmackDown Women’s Title, at this point.
Sasha Banks & Bayley Happy For Not Getting A Match At Wrestlemania!
Previously, the reports suggested that Bayley will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks which was the readymade option for the creative team. These two are the top names of the blue brand, and it is suitable to see these two square off at the grandest stage of WrestleMania 36. But that match was scrapped out of the card, in recent times.
Sasha Banks Reveals Why She Was Gone From The WWE
Apparently, it was the recent injury of Sasha Banks which caused WWE to nix her WrestleMania plans. The follow-up updates suggested that WWE might arrange a six-pack challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Title Match that will consist of Sasha Banks.
However, even that match could be wiped out considering that WWE posted a picture on Twitter asking the fans who do they want to see the former champion taking on.
Sasha Banks and Bayley have battled many times before on both NXT and the main roster. To be fair, the most memorable matches of their career are against each other. This could be the reason why the officials may have pulled their singles contest off the WrestleMania 36 card.
It appears that now Sasha Banks will have a different role if she does end up competing at the biggest event of them all.
On a related note, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus recently hinted on Twitter that she might resurface to deliver a dream feud against Sasha Banks. There’s no update if that happens but this will eventually confirm the reports of six different matches comprising the female superstars.
Four title matches will be there for Raw, SmackDown, NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. A WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal will be the fifth one whereas a match for Sasha Banks serves as sixth.
