WWE is conducting weekly shows even during the Coronavirus pandemic. Previously Vince McMahon desperately tried to host live shows every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights for Raw, NXT, and SmackDown shows, consecutively, putting the superstars in jeopardy who have to fly up and down risking their health. The decision was later changed as WWE decided to bank taped shows until July 2020.
WWE Not Visiting Saudi Arabia In 2020 Amid Coronavirus Pandemic?
Apparently, that was not enough to make an unknown employee of the company happy as he sent a letter to Orange County, Florida begging them to shut down the tapings. The allegations towards the WWE was that they are forcing superstars to work in these shows during coronavirus outbreak. Now WWE has responded claiming that it wasn’t true, at all.
Reason Why WWE May Continue To Use Released Superstars In Future
The company has released an official statement while addressing the recent complaint filed towards the Florida authority, rubbishing it as false. They made it clear that the employees have the right to go to the HR department and let know their problems.
They won’t be fired for being uncomfortable to work in the current Coronavirus situation. The released response from WWE stands as follows,
“These accusations aren’t true. Employees know they can confidentially go to Human Resources, not the public. Notwithstanding the appropriate protocol, no one would be fired if they were uncomfortable with their surroundings. We’ve made accommodations for individuals upon request.”
For example, Roman Reigns decided not to work at WrestleMania 36 where he was supposed to be part of one of the co-main events. Vince McMahon has since ordered not to mention The Big Dog’s name on television. Roman is still employed by WWE and he would surely get back his position in the company whenever it’s safe for him to come back once Coronavirus outbreak dies down.
Meanwhile, WWE would continue to run weekly television programs at the Performance Center in Florida. They don’t have to be worried at all as WWE shows were deemed as an ‘essential business’ by Government authorities. So they shouldn’t be bothered at all with this complaint sent by some anonymous employee.
