Sasha Banks with SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley opened this week’s SmackDown hyping up the fatal-5-way title match at WrestleMania. Lacey Evans and Naomi interrupted them claiming how they’re going to dethrone Bayley. Tamina arrived at the scene and gave a headbutt to Naomi followed by a Superkick on Evans. Banks and Bayley decided to retreat from the scene.

WWE Smackdown Results (27/03/20): New Day vs Usos; Alexa Bliss vs Asuka 3

Drew Gulak vs. Shinsuke Nakamura was the opening contest of SmackDown where the latter name was in full control. Nakamura delivered a flying knee off the top rope and send Gulak face-first to the mat. He went for the Kinshasa but Bryan pulled Gulak out of the way. Gulak rolled up Nakamura for the win handing the IC title shot at Bryan at WrestleMania.

A backstage segment took place on SmackDown where Otis and Dolph Ziggler agreed on a WrestleMania match. Ziggler said that Mandy Rose will be in his corner.

Elias sang a song blasting King Corbin, his WrestleMania opponent. As the song finished, Corbin attacked Elias from the back. He hit Elias with the scepter leading him to fall from a high perch. Elias was rushed into a local medical facility.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka competed next on SmackDown against Alexa Bliss in a singles contest. Asuka was in control hitting some kicks but she misses the hip attack. Bliss kicked her into the back and sent her face-first into the mat. Asuka tried to counter with the Asuka Lock but Bliss hit her with a sudden DDT for the victory.

Triple H appeared in a segment to hype up Roman Reigns vs Goldberg at WrestleMania 36. We also witnessed a new Firefly Funhouse episode from Bray Wyatt.

The New Day vs. The Usos was the main event of this week’s SmackDown where The Miz and John Morrison were standing at ringside. After Big E delivered a spear on one of the Usos, the tag champs attacked Kofi and E to disqualify the match. As a result, Miz and Morrison vs. The New Day vs. The Usos in a Triple Threat Ladder Match was declared for WrestleMania 36. The New Day took the champions out of the ring to close out the show.
