Mick Foley Discusses The Future Of Bray Wyatt

Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley who is a former three times World Champion recently talked about the future of the former three times WWE World Champion Bray Wyatt. He said any promotion would be profited if they could sign him.

Bray Wyatt has been one of the biggest prospects of WWE in the recent time. He is the son of the legendary professional wrestler Mike Rotunda who is mostly famous as Irwin R. Schyster (IRS).

Mick Foley Discusses The Future Of Bray Wyatt

Wyatt started his professional wrestling career in 2009 as a Trainee in the Florida Championship Wrestling which was the development Territory of WWE back in that time. The very next year he participated on the first season of NXT competition. He then made his main roster debut as a member of the Nexus under the ring name of Husky Harris.

In 2012 he made his debut as his iconic character Bray Wyatt. He made his debut along with a stable behind him which was famously known as The Wyatt Family. The other team mates of Wyatt were Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and of course Braun Strowman.

In a very short amount of time, The Wyatt Family became a sensation of WWE. But the other members of The Wyatt Family parted ways after a number of years and Bray started working solo since. He won his first WWE World Championship in the Elimination Chamber pay per view event of 2017 by winning the Elimination Chamber match in the mentioned event.

In 2019 he got a gimmick change and he was renamed as the Fiend. The gimmick was not much different from his previous gimmick but it was a huge success and the fans loved it. While playing the gimmick of the Fiend he won the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship two times in total.

But he was losing all of his Momentum after he got involved in a feud with Randy Orton later last year. Ultimately he lost the feud at WrestleMania 37, and surprisingly after only a month he was released by WWE. It was quite shocking, but only this year WWE has released over 70 stars, and he was one of the unfortunate ones. He is currently a free agent and could be seen in any professional wrestling promotion.

Mick Foley who is a former three times World Champion recently spoke to Alistair McGeorge of Metro where he talked about the future of the former three times WWE World Champion Bray Wyatt. He said any promotion would be profited if they could sign him. He said;

“Oh, wherever he decides to go will benefit from him being there.  And that’s great to know. When somebody has success and an amazing pop and reaction – like Ruby Soho – it just shows you.

“Because [thinking of] mental health, you get that call from WWE that your time is up, that used to be seen as a death knell on a career. And now people are like, “Hey I get to go somewhere else and ply my craft”. I like the idea that there’s other places available.”

Seth Rollins Speaks On His Match Against Fiend From Hell In A Cell 2019

Former four times WWE World Champion Seth Rollins who is currently involved in a feud with the former eleven times WWE World Champion The Rated R Superstar Edge recently talked about his infamous WWE Universal Championship match the Fiend Bray Wyatt.

Seth Rollins vs. The Fiend Bray Wyatt was scheduled for the WWE Universal Championship inside Hell in a Cell in the Hell in a Cell pay per view event of 2019. The character of the Fiend was a newly invented back then and it was one of the most famous characters among the fans back in the time. Everyone was waiting for The Fiend challenge for the World Championship.

Seth Rollins Speaks On His Match Against Fiend From Hell In A Cell 2019

The time finally arrived at Hell in a Cell pay per view event of 2019 where the Fiend challenged Seth for the WWE Universal Championship. And the match was booked inside Hell in a Cell. What else could you want more? It was a dream match and it had to be one of the best matches of the year, right?

This match turned out to be the worst worked match of the year. It was a Hell in a Cell match which went to no contest. It was like a Last Man Standing match ending in a submission victory.

The match was even considered worse than the botch filled Goldberg vs. Undertaker match. And it was all because of the The Hell in a Cell which was not needed at all. This is one of the biggest reasons why WWE needs to stop these gimmick pay per views. These gimmick pay per views are getting totally obsolete.

Seth Rollins who is a former four times WWE World Champion recently spoke to Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions where he talked about his infamous WWE Universal Championship match the Fiend Bray Wyatt. He said;

“My vision for what that was going to be was a lot different than what we had to go out there and do. We went out there, and did what we were told to do, to the best of our ability.”

“I put a positive spin on it now that I can look back at it a year and a half later, but at the time — I came through that curtain and I was ready to strangle Vince McMahon. I’m not kidding you. I’m not kidding you, TJ Willson was there to hold me back. I stared right into Vince’s eyes — you know where he sits in that chair over there [in Gorilla] — I look at him, he looked at me, we didn’t say a single word to each other and he walked out.

Seth Rollins

“I sat there with Paul Heyman — and also, he was Creative Director at the time of RAW — so I sat down there with him and we had a conversation. He was ‘Paul Heyman’ing’ me, if you will. Then, the next day I went into Vince’s office — much calmer — and I said, ‘Let’s talk about this.

“We need to figure out what we’re doing here, because that can’t happen again.’ It was civil, but it took me a night [to calm down], but I was ready to go. Man, if somebody wasn’t there making sure I was okay — my temper, I mean, the adrenaline. In my head, if you go back to that match, I’m convinced if it would have went our way, this wouldn’t be on that [worst matches] list.”

Braun Strowman Wants To Face Bray Wyatt

Former WWE star and a former WWE Universal champion Braun Strowman who is also a former WWE Intercontinental Champion recently made a challenge to former WWE star and a former three times WWE World Champion Bray Wyatt.

It is not that these two athletes did not face each other before. They did present some good matches in WWE before, but in most cases Bray Wyatt came out victorious. The duo had a match at SummerSlam pay per view event of last year and the match was for the WWE Universal Championship. Bray defeated Braun in that match. Just the previous paper view event of WWE, the Horror show at Extreme Rules, the duo had another match and it was also won by Bray Wyatt.

Braun Strowman Wants To Face Bray Wyatt

Braun Strowman started his career as a member of The Wyatt Family, as a partner of Bray Wyatt. We are not counting his time being a rosebud of Adam Rose. This appearance was so forgettable, that even Vince McMahon did not know about it.

Later he made his official debut under his real gimmick as a member of the Wyatt Family that was run by Bray Wyatt. Later he started running solo and he had massive success in the way in a very short amount of time.

Recently Braun made a challenge to Bray Wyatt, but it is not confirmed if the match would really take place, and if it does, what would be the venue of this match. Rumours of Bray Wyatt joining AEW is floating around the world of professional wrestling for quite a long time, maybe Braun is going there as well.  Or maybe they would fight ine an independent circuit ring. Nothing has been confirmed so far.

Braun Strowman who is also a former WWE Intercontinental Champion recently spoke to Control Your Narrative where he made a challenge to former WWE star and a former three times WWE World Champion Bray Wyatt. He said;

“I don’t know if it’s really one person. I think it’s anyone, anyone that has something inside them that they need to get out. Anybody that needs to be set free. These things have always been good [stares at his hands] at setting things free…

“There’s only one man on this earth that I want to see knocking that door. He’s family, he showed me things in life that I never could have imagined seeing. He bestowed the gift upon me of being the godfather to his son. Windham, I’m waiting for you brother.”

Bray Wyatt also rumored to arrive in AEW

Meanwhile, some of the rumors also claimed that the superstar having the real name Windham Rotunda might show up at AEW’s Dynamite edition in Rochester in the final week of September which took place in Brodie Lee’s hometown. It could have been a huge moment as the company paid tribute to the passed away superstar and getting the former Wyatt Family leader would have added a whole new dimension to the situation.

Ringside News then confirmed with their sources in AEW that nobody in the company has heard anything about Bray Wyatt debuting for the company on that night or in the near future. That night in Rochester could have been a perfect arrival for him but you can never know whether a moment will be created in due course. Black and Bray Wyatt were not the only wrestlers who got released from WWE during the Covid-19 Pandemic. WWE has released over thirty wrestlers during this situation. A lot of wrestlers and pundits criticised WWE for releasing the stars.

Mickie James who is also a former five times WWE Women’s Champion recently wrote on Twitter by expressing her disappointment on the shocking release of Bray Wyatt. She wrote;

“I think what you meant to say was: “Thank you so much for coming up with such an incredible gimmick(time & time again)one so cool & over, we really didn’t know how to book it right. So we just gave it to someone else so we can still make ALL the money off of it & let you go.”

She later clarifies that this was not a shot at Alexa by writing, “This isn’t against Alexa. I love her. She’s an incredible performer who is killing it in a role she was given. She always does. We as artists take every role we’re given & turn it into gold. He, she, they both did that. Like it/not. Facts are facts. So sorry if that offends you.”

The pandemic really hit WWE to its core. It was of course a terrible situation for the promotion. It was more like they were forced to make all these releases because never in the history of WWE any decision made by the promotion ever felt so clueless. They did not even bother to finish all their ongoing storylines either.

The executive vice president of Cody Rhodes who is a former WWE star recently hosted a media call where he talked about the possibility of AEW potentially signing Bray Wyatt who had been a huge name in WWE and was just released by the promotion. He said;

“…I can’t comment on if he fits in with us, but I can say if he has an ounce of passion for this, that guy can fit in anywhere because he’s a very special, special talent.”

How WWE Should Have Booked Bray Wyatt’s Return – Explained By Booker T

Two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is a former five times WCW World Heavyweight Champion recently explained how he would have booked the return of the Fiend Bray Wyatt who was recently released by WWE recently.

WWE has always planned to push Windham Rotunda since they changed the gimmick from Husky Harris to Bray Wyatt. But his first run was destroyed after he feuded with John Cena in 2014. He defeated everyone who came to his path, but John Cena was unbeatable as always.

How WWE Should Have Booked Bray Wyatt’s Return – Explained By Booker T

WWE tried to push him once again after a number of years when they tried to push him once again after a number of years when they gave him the WWE Championship but after he lost it to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33, the push was nowhere to be found again.

WWE repackaged him as the Fiend. The character was working pretty well, fans were loving it, he was completely unstoppable until he faced Goldberg.

After he lost to Goldberg and lost the WWE Universal Championship he was never seen as such a big thing. He only made a couple of appearances after he lost his match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37, and disappeared. He did not return since then. A shocking news arrived just a week ago that WWE released him.

Former five times WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T who is a Two times WWE Hall of Famer recently spoke on his Hall of Fame Podcast where he explained how he would have booked the return of the Fiend Bray Wyatt if he was not released. He said;

Bray Wyatt

“He would snap out of the fog and become Bray Wyatt.  No more Fiend, and that’s just my opinion. I’m sure they may have something totally different.  Bray Wyatt, for me, was today’s Mick Foley, a guy that went out there and he made you think before you ever saw him in the ring.

“What Bray Wyatt did in the ring sometimes really didn’t matter because he had you so enthralled in the character of who Bray Wyatt really was, and The Wyatt Family.  That right there for me, it worked.  Sister Abigail, I was waiting to see who the hell was Sister Abigail.

“I couldn’t wait to actually find out at the end of the day who was Sister Abigail, and what that would turn out to be.  That’s just my opinion.  I just think with The Fiend, it’s just so hard to book a character like The Fiend on a weekly basis.”

WWE Had Mega Match Planned For Bray Wyatt At Summerslam 2021

“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt has been released from the WWE, a couple of days ago in a move that literally sent a shockwave through the entire WWE roster. Backstage employees and of course, the talents, found it hard to accept the truth of a top superstar was let go from the contract, all of a sudden. Reports also suggest that even top superstars are feeling unsafe in their current position despite their accolades.

That being said, Bray Wyatt’s final WWE match took place at WrestleMania 37, where he lost to Randy Orton. He also lost to Orton back at TLC 2020 which now appeared to be a burial process for his on-screen character. Afterward, his last WWE appearance came during a Firefly Fun House segment on RAW after WrestleMania 37 where he indicated a fresh start in his WWE career but that never happened.

That being said, Bray Wyatt is no longer with WWE as he was released and that brings an end to “The Fiend” gimmick unless the company plans on bringing him back after some time as they did with Samoa Joe. But in the meantime, he was gearing up for an in-ring return in the coming days, and that too in a great physique. Seemingly, he was getting ready for a mega Summerslam matchup.

Bray Wyatt vs. Drew McIntyre was planned for Summerslam

According to the reports of Florida-based pro-wrestling broadcaster Jon Alba, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Drew McIntyre was pitched for SummerSlam 2021.

“Bray Wyatt/Drew McIntyre had at least been pitched for SummerSlam at one point. I’m not sure how far those discussions went, but it was talked about at one point.”

Obviously, that plan was canceled as McIntyre is currently feuding with Jinder Mahal (his former 3MB partner) on RAW and he’ll most likely face the Modern-day Maharaja at SummerSlam 2021.

As for Bray Wyatt, he is currently serving as the mandatory 90-day no-compete clause put forth on him by WWE. This will be over before the AEW Full Gear PPV event, leaving him room to make a grand debut in time for that show produced by WWE’s rival brand. Wyatt has removed his WWE on-screen name from social media sites and is currently using his real name, Rotunda Windham.

Ronda Rousey Blasts WWE Fans Over Reactions To Bray Wyatt

Ronda Rousey is the latest one to comment on WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt and his departure from the company. A lot of responses are being heard about WWE releasing Wyatt from their contract by the end of last week. That move was shocking enough to the WWE Superstars who now believed that their job is no more secure under the banner. Backstage morale within the WWE has reportedly reached an all-time low following this release.

However, a star like Ronda Rousey believes that it’s the fans who were the reason behind Wyatt’s release in the first place. She took to Twitter to point out his view on this ongoing chatters about the former Eater of the World.

As seen on Raw, last night, fans at the All-State Arena in Chicago chanted “We want Wyatt!” during the in-ring segment with WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. This was obviously a result of WWE releasing Wyatt from his contract over this past weekend, which took the professional wrestling world by storm.

Ronda Rousey then took to Twitter and knocked the fans for how they have treated Wyatt, over the years. She mentioned a particular match of Wyatt where he was having a match against Matt Hardy at WWE Elimination Chamber 2018, which Hardy won. These same fans were chanting “We want beach balls!” during that match as they cared the least about the two talents.

“I’ve seen you same “fans” chanting #WeWantWyatt last night chanting “We want beach balls” over @WWEBrayWyatt performing. If the @wwe treated him like he was expendable it was because you ungrateful idiots did first,” she wrote.

Apart from chants for Bray Wyatt, the WWE Universe in Chicago was loud enough for CM Punk, too who has reportedly signed a contract with the AEW promotion.

The pregnancy was first discovered in the month of January and she is due in late September. She has been absent from WWE TV since losing the WrestleMania 35 main event in 2019.

Bray Wyatt Was In Great Shape Before WWE Release

The Fiend Bray Wyatt was burnt down by Randy Orton at TLC 2020, after which he was written off WWE programming for a few months. He then returned in time to seek revenge against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37. But, surprisingly, he lost to Orton once again, this time after being betrayed by Alexa Bliss to get shelved from WWE programming.

Now, Bray Wyatt has become a hot topic of discussion after getting released by the WWE. A new photo of the WWE Superstar has also surfaced on social media. A fan spotted the former Raw roster member at a grocery store and posted a photo of the two. This led to several others commenting on how Wyatt appears to be in great shape. The excessive mid-rib fat has been disappeared as spotted in the photo.

According to the reports of the Dirty Sheets Patreon page, Bray Wyatt asked for some time off as he’s reportedly been dealing with some mental health issues. He was said to be still recovering from the death of his close friend Jon Huber (Luke Harper / Brodie Lee), who passed away in December 2020 due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Vince McMahon wasn’t happy with Bray Wyatt

Reports claim that when Bray Wyatt was written off WWE TV in 2020 fall when he could have possibly learned about Huber’s death, several weeks in advance and it was heavy to digest. Despite that issue, Wyatt agreed to return in time for WrestleMania, but Vince McMahon wasn’t happy with the shape, he returned in. He then also expressed that he isn’t ready to be back and needs more time off, which could be one of the reasons why he lost to The Viper before vanishing from TV, again.

At one point, there has been some speculation on Bray Wyatt possibly returning for SummerSlam 2021 as he was advertised for the August 9 RAW from Orlando, Florida but that’s not happening, at all. Rather the latest reports hinted that he was kept off TV in late July for no solid reasons, despite the Orlando RAW’s initial advertisement. That being said, the top superstar from Monday Nights will no more be seen on WWE TV.
