WWE Smackdown Preview (25/06/21): Hell in a Cell 2021 Fallouts; Mixed Tag Match

When it comes to WWE Smackdown, the show usually revolves around the Universal Champion who runs the entire show with authority. The reign of terror isn’t ending anytime soon but it would rather grow following the Hell in a Cell title match defense, last week. Additionally, fallouts from the gimmick-based PPV will be there on the show alongside builds for Money in the Bank 2021 when Friday’s hottest show airs from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

In the main event of last week’s SmackDown, Roman Reigns defeated Rey Mysterio inside Hell in a Cell to retain the Universal Championship. Reigns made Mysterio tap out to a new version of the Guillotine Choke Hold submission. Interestingly, Jimmy Uso came out after the match to raise Reigns’ hand after which Reigns applied the Guillotine on Mysterio again to make him suffer with it.

WWE Clash Of Champions Reportedly Returning In September 2021

It appears that Jimmy Uso is already on the side of Roman Reigns, making him even stronger than ever. This is why The Tribal Chief sent a message to Rey Mysterio after SmackDown which was simple and clear,

“Go home. Stay home.
And if you come back to MY ring…
You’ll acknowledge me.”

It should be noted that Roman Reigns wished Mysterio “Happy Father’s Day” after the win in the middle of the ring. He had also already taken out his son Dominik, the week before, with a vicious Powerbomb from the ring all the way to the outside the floor. Now it’ll be interesting to see what next challenger is waiting for the champion on Smackdown. He is also set to throw a celebration on the show following his successful title defense.

Speaking of this, the new title defense for Roman Reigns may happen at Money in the Bank 2021 PPV where two separate ladder matches will be there on July 18. Qualifiers for those matches have already begun from this week’s episode of Raw. Ricochet, Riddle, and John Morrison have qualified for the men’s ladder match while Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Naomi, and Asuka have qualified for the women’s ladder match. A few names from Smackdown will also enter the fray, tonight.

WWE Smackdown Preview (25/06/21): Hell in a Cell 2021 Fallouts; Mixed Tag Match 1

Bianca Belair vs. Bayley rematch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship was contested inside the Hell in a Cell structure at last Sunday’s PPV event. This change was made since the Roman Reigns vs. Rey Mysterio Hell in a Cell match was moved to last week’s show, so WWE needed another Cell match on the PPV from the blue brigade.

In a critically acclaimed match, Belair was able to defeat Bayley via a clean pinfall win in order to retain her title. This was thought to have ended the feud between the two of them, for good but it’s not. On tonight’s episode, the two will compete in a mixed tag team match with Cesaro and Seth Rollins being their respective partners. As a result, Rollins vs. Cesaro program is also likely to continue.

WWE Smackdown Preview (25/06/21): Otis and Chad Gable in momentums

WWE Smackdown Preview (25/06/21): Hell in a Cell 2021 Fallouts; Mixed Tag Match 2

Angelo Dawkins tried to get payback on Otis for his brutal attack of Montez Ford a week before. But Otis and his tag team partner Chad Gable seemed relentless than ever while pouncing on Dawkins in the middle of the ring. Another vicious two-on-one beatdown at the hands of Otis and his Alpha Academy instructor already removed Ford from action while they may have been able to keep Dawkins, out of the equation, for good.

Going by the latest reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kevin Owens has headed into a hiatus following his loss at the hands of Sami Zayn at Hell in a Cell 2021. This would happen as a result of a storyline injury to the prizefighter which might allow receiving a big push to Zayn, down the road. What new opportunities could be waiting for the great liberator? We’ll find out on this post-Hell in a Cell edition of Smackdown.

Bobby Lashley Achieved Major Hell In A Cell Record On WWE Raw

WWE is setting up Bobby Lashley to be a reckless force on Monday Night Raw during his current championship run. Despite having a sidekick in MVP by his side, he isn’t being presented as a cowardly heel. But with each week, he’s becoming stronger and this week’s episode of Raw was no exception where he achieved a major feat.

RAW kicked off with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley celebrating his Hell in a Cell win over Drew McIntyre with some models. He was glad over the fact that Drew can’t challenge him for the title again. The New Day came out as Kofi Kingston showed footage of him pinning Lashley a few weeks ago. Kofi then challenged for a WWE Championship Match at the Money In The Bank 2021 PPV which was accepted.

But for Kofi to get this Title match, Xavier Woods was inserted in a match against Bobby Lashley and that match appeared to be a Hell in a Cell match. In that main event of Raw, the WWE Champion tapped out Woods with the Hurt Lock submission to secure an easy win. He kept on attacking Woods even after the match to send a message to his Money In The Bank opponent, Kofi Kingston to send the show off the air.

Brock Lesnar Reportedly Begins Talk With WWE For Summerslam 2021

Bobby Lashley is undefeated at Hell in a Cell

With this win over the former tag team champion, Bobby Lashley becomes the first wrestler in WWE history to compete in two Hell in a Cell matches within a span of 24 hours. Not only that, but he also became victorious in these two matches.

Bobby Lashley Achieved Major Hell In A Cell Record On WWE Raw 12

There’s a reason why a sudden Hell in a Cell match took place on Raw, the first-ever in the history of Raw. According to the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, USA Network officials weren’t happy when WWE conducted a Cell match on last week’s episode of SmackDown (Roman Reigns defeated Rey Mysterio for the Universal Championship on FOX)

“I can tell you for a fact that USA Network is very unhappy that the Hell in a Cell match is happening on SmackDown. I’m not gonna say they are fuming but they are very unhappy about it.”

So, WWE wanted to make the USA Network officials happy and in turn, increase the viewership of the show. As a result, they did a Hell in a Cell match on RAW featuring Bobby Lashley and Xavier Woods.

WWE Raw Preview (21/06/21): Hell In A Cell 2021 Fallouts

WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 marked the end of the PPV era inside the ThunderDome and WWE Raw is about to carry a lot of fallouts from the PPV event. We are likely to learn the next chapters in title pictures of the red brand for the reigning champion who successfully retained. Plus, initial builds for Money in the Bank 2021 are also expected when this week’s WWE flagship show airs from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

In the main event of Hell in a Cell 2021, Bobby Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre to successfully retain his WWE Championship inside that Cell structure. The win wasn’t a clean pinfall win as MVP got involved and distracted McIntyre, helping Lashley to secure a roll-up win over his bitter rival. Via this, McIntyre won’t be able to challenge for the WWE Championship as long as Lashley remains the champion.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2021: Drew McIntyre Posts Brutal Post-Match Photos

That being said, Lashley will be looking forward to receiving a new opponent on WWE Raw for his title. Over the past few weeks, Kofi Kingston is being bashed by MVP for losing his essence to stay on the title picture. Kingston has also lost to capture the number-one contender’s spot to McIntyre, a few weeks ago. But going by the storyline, one-half of the New Day should be coming back title picture, after all.

Brock Lesnar Reportedly Begins Talk With WWE For Summerslam 2021

WWE RAW Women’s Title was on the line in a singles contest between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley at Hell in a Cell. This appeared to be the toughest title defense for the reigning champion who took a cunning strategy to retain. Ripley slammed Flair on the face with a part of the announce table to cause a disqualification but the title never changed hands.

After the match, Flair and Ripley got involved in a brawl and it was the champion who stood tall by delivering a Riptide on her adversary. With fewer options available in the title picture, WWE is seemingly heading into a title rematch between these two superstars which could take place at Money in the Bank, next month.

WWE Raw Preview (21/06/21): Alexa Bliss moving to title picture?WWE Raw Preview (21/06/21): Hell In A Cell 2021 Fallouts 20

Alexa Bliss continued her winning streak at HIAC, captivated by a strange power. Last night, she hypnotized Nia Jax, stopping her from interfering in the match against Shayna Baszler. Bliss then delivered Sister Abigail followed by Twisted Bliss to secure a big win. That being said, it’s likely that the veteran superstar could be moving to the title picture on WWE Raw.

WWE Raw Preview (21/06/21): Hell In A Cell 2021 Fallouts 21

It will be interesting to see whether WWE moves her to the Raw Women’s Title picture or the Women’s tag team title picture. The assumption is that she could present a physical version of Lilly on the scene to move into the tag title picture. This could also be the reason why she showed interest in the champs, Natalya and Tamina Snuka in the past few weeks. More on the story should be available when WWE Raw airs with HIAC fallouts from ThunderDome.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2021: Drew McIntyre Posts Brutal Post-Match Photos

We have seen a hellacious match at WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 where Bobby Lashley retained over Drew McIntyre inside the Cell structure. Per the stipulation of the match, the defeated superstar won’t be able to challenge for the WWE Championship as long as Lashley remains the champion. It was an unfortunate loss for the Scottish Warrior via interferences from MVP who reflected on the loss.

After Hell in a Cell 2021, McIntyre took to Twitter to note over his loss against WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and thanked everyone for their support. He posted some graphic photos that showed bruises on his back from the brutal main event from last night.

The match included the usage of tables, chairs, kendo sticks, and of course, the steel that surrounded the ring. He also commented on how he wanted live fans to see him as the WWE Champion when they can attend WWE’s events from next month onward. McIntyre has captured the WWE Title twice during the COVID-19 pandemic, but both of those happened in front of zero audience.

McIntyre thanked fans after Hell in a Cell 2021

“It’s been a wild ride. I’ve always wanted to make all of you proud, and I hoped that you would get the chance to see me live and in-person as WWE Champion. Looks like that dream is on hold for a while. Thanks for all your support. #HIAC,” McIntyre wrote in his post Hell in a Cell 2021 match tweet.

Bobby Lashley was elated to hold the belt around his waist who taunted McIntyre with a post-show tweet, using the “Michael Jordan crying” meme.

“You mad???? Back of the line @DMcIntyreWWE!! #AndStill #HIAC,” the All-Mighty wrote as he got rid of McIntyre, once and for all after Hell in a Cell 2021.

There’s no confirmed update on what WWE has planned for these two Raw Superstars for the summer but we are probably going to get a hint on this week’s Raw which brings the fallouts from WWE Hell in a Cell 2021. It’s assumed that Lashley’s title retention will put him through a mega title defense at Summerslam against Brock Lesnar. McIntyre, on the other hand, may get involved in next month’s Money in the Bank ladder match to get back into the title picture.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 Results & Ratings

WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 started as promo packages for every match that had been booked for the event were shown one by one. Then they showed the promo package for the first match of the event and that was scheduled for the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship between Bianca Belair and Bayley inside Hell in a Cell.

Match 1 – Hell in a Cell Match – WWE SmackDown women’s Championship – Bianca Belair defeated Bayley to retain

WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 Results & Ratings

It was a good match and it was booked for around twenty minutes. It was quite extreme but the outcome of the match was completely predictable. There was no stopping of over pushing Belair now. Belair pinned Bayley after the kiss of death finishing meneuver on top of a ladder.

Match 2 – Seth Rollins defeated Cesaro

This match was booked for around eighteen minutes and it was quite an enjoyable match. It was physical and both men did pretty well. But once again the obsession of WWE with the roll up pins were shown in this match again. Such an important match ended with roll up which was not a good sign.

Match 3 – Alexa Bilss defeated Shayna Baszler

This match was booked for around eight minutes and it was also quite predictable. They tried to make this match cryptic but in the end it was not what they wanted to look like, it was the only booked match. Throughout the match Alexa Bliss kept laughing which was not a very good look for Baszler’s future. In the end of the match Bliss pinned Baszler with a Twisted Bliss.

Match 4 – Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens

It was an extremely physical match and it was booked for around twelve minutes. They booked Owens has not completely fit for a match as he was beaten down by Commander Azeez last week. Even though most of the match was dominated by Owens Sami Zayn pinned him with a Helluva Kick.

Match 5 – WWE Raw Women’s championship – Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley by disqualification, Ripley retained

This might have been the weakest match of the night after Alexa Bliss vs. Shayna Baszler match. As this feud was boring, the match was nothing better either. Ripley intentionally disqualified herself in the end of the match which means we have to watch this feud going.

Hell In A Cell

Match 6 – Hell in a Cell Match – Bobby Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre to retain

This match was definitely the longest match of the night but once again it met with a terrible ending. Roll up pin again? A hell in a cell match, a feud deciding match was ending with a rollup. This must have been the worst booking in the recent time pay per view main events. The match was not going really bad, in fact it was going quite well. But the ending ruined it all. Lashley pinned McIntyre with a roll up.

Overall it was a weak event. It had all the potential to become a good and worthy event. But once again, bad bookings ruined the whole event. We give this event 2 stars out of 5. Only if the end result was a little better we could have rate it higher.

Hell In A Cell 2021: Spoiler On WWE Raw Women’s Title Match

WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 will take place on June 20th, live on pay-per-view that appears to be the final one inside the virtual ThunderDome experience. They don’t have a ton of matches booked for the event as reports indicate that the future PPV lengths will gradually appear to be shorter. But at least, a few title matches have been booked alongside the two Hell in a Cell match that will go down on the night.

Hell In A Cell 2021: Spoiler On WWE Raw Women’s Title Match 40

Fans were also let known that Rhea Ripley will put her WWE RAW Women’s Title on the line against the best challenger that she could possibly have. The title reign for The Nightmare will be in sheer jeopardy as none other than Charlotte Flair will be competing against her in a singles bout at Hell in a Cell 2021. So Rhea would have to bring the very best out of herself, in order to retain.

Hell In A Cell 2021: Spoiler On WWE Championship Match Result

However, things are likely to go down in her favor at the upcoming PPV event. At least, the odds are favoring the reigning champion, as of now. Recently betting odds from Bet Online have been published for WWE Hell in a Cell 2021. It indicates that Rhea Ripley will continue her reign as the champion. This could likely see her carry that RAW Women’s Title when the company brings back live fans from July onward.

Rhea Ripley favorite to retain at Hell in a Cell 2021

The betting odds show that Rhea Ripley is sitting with -400 odds over Charlotte Flair’s +250. This means the former NXT Women’s Champion is a favorite to retain her title at Hell in a Cell 2021 against the most dominant force of the Raw Women’s division. It will be interesting to see whether she can pull off a clean win over the ten-time women’s champion.

Afterward, Ripley tried to find her way from the black and gold brand to the main roster as a call-up that took place after almost a year. Thankfully for Ripley, she was able to sit on top as she defeated Asuka to win the title at Wrestlemania 37. Now she looks forward to going through an acid test at WWE Hell in a Cell 2021.

Hell In A Cell 2021: Spoiler On WWE Championship Match Result

As noted on a recent week’s episode of WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre and Lashley’s feud will have another chapter to it at Hell in a Cell 2021. It was confirmed that the two behemoths will face off for the WWE Championship at the upcoming pay-per-view inside the cell structure. The event will go down on June 20 from ThunderDome setup of the WWE at the Yuengling Center.

Drew McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston to become the new number-one contender for the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell 2021. Later, McIntyre wanted that match to happen inside the infamous steel structure while Lashley added a stipulation of his own which said that if McIntyre loses then he can’t challenge for the WWE Title, again until Lashley holds the belt.

Renee Young Gives Birth To Baby Daughter; WWE Sends Congratulation

So, it presents a desperate situation for the Scottish Warrior who is hell-bent on picking up the belt. But it appears that WWE is not keen on crowning him with the belt, anytime soon. He is likely to lose the next title opportunity and then probably will move from the title picture, for the time being.

Bobby Lashley favorite to win at WWE Hell in a Cell 2021

The betting odds are not in McIntyre’s favor meaning it would be a long road back to the WWE Title for the former champion. Current betting odds from Bet Online list the challenger as the 6/4 underdog. Lashley is currently the 1/2 favorite to win the match and retain the WWE Championship. Only time will tell if WWE will decide to surprise the bookies and has the underdog win at Hell in a Cell 2021.

Hell In A Cell 2021: Spoiler On WWE Championship Match Result 51

WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 will be the final pay-per-view from the ThunderDome as Drew McIntyre must have high hopes to capture the title and then welcome back the live fans in attendance in July. But that’s not happening, it seems just like he was unable to do so at Wrestlemania 37, a show that also had fans in attendance.

At present, Bobby Lashley is being built as a dominant force on Raw with the WWE Title on his shoulder. Many assume that this reign isn’t likely ending as WWE wants to do Lashley vs. Lesnar at Summerslam 2021. This could serve as one of the most valid reasons why the reigning champion is likely retaining at Hell in a Cell 2021.

The match was originally scheduled to take place at Hell in a Cell PPV in Tampa, Florida at Yuengling Center which was abruptly preponed to this week’s Smackdown on FOX.

With this win, the top WWE Superstar has not only continued his winning streak that is ongoing since late 2019 but also improved his record at Hell in a Cell matches. Statistics show that Roman Reigns has never lost in this type of gimmick match. He’s also the only superstar to have competed in this hellacious structure on multiple occasions who was never pinned or submitted.

Mysterio used his quickness and various weapons as he operated a fire extinguisher and then put a chair on his opponent’s neck to toss him into the cell. A 619 later, Mysterio connected with two top-rope Frogsplashes but missed the third one.

Roman Reigns caught him with a powerbomb into the steel Cell wall, off the ring as Mysterio landed hard. Afterward, Reigns applied the Guillotine Chokehold submission to pick up the submission win. Following the match, Jimmy Uso arrived at the ring and raised his hands as he seems to be back on the same page with the Tribal Chief. WWE Smackdown Preview (18/06/21): Hell in a Cell Match; Big Debut

The final episode of SmackDown before Hell In A Cell 2021 will air, tonight which promises to be a stacked one. A major debut of Commander Azeez will happen during a tag team match. Otis is scheduled to go one-on-one with Angelo Dawkins.

A battle for the King of the Ring crown is scheduled between King Corbin and Nakamura. Plus, the recent announcements from WWE confirm that the Hell in a Cell Universal Title match will take place between Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio when Friday’s hottest show airs from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

Rey Mysterio confronted Roman Reigns on SmackDown after the Universal Champion’s brutal attack on his son Dominik from the prior week. The Master of 619 was quick to issue a challenge to the Head of the Table for a title match showdown inside Hell In A Cell structure.

Before Reigns could answer it, the father and son duo launched a Kendo stick attack but Reigns narrowly dodged it. Once again, he took out frustrations on Dominik by throwing him off the ring with a powerbomb on the floor.

Afterward, Paul Heyman confirmed on Talking Smack, that Roman Reigns has accepted the challenge as he will face Mysterio for the title at Hell In A Cell. Now that the Lucha Libre legend has a title match opportunity, he wants to seek retribution as soon as possible. Hence, he doesn’t want to wait until Hell in a Cell. The Tribal Chief has responded to him affirming that the title match showdown will be happening on Smackdown, itself.

WWE Smackdown Preview (18/06/21): Hell in a Cell Match; Big Debut 79

As seen on last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Otis debuted a new shaved look that left the WWE Universe talking about him. Besides that, he mercilessly attacked Montez Ford during the show, leading one-half of the Street Profits to pick up an injury.

Now Otis will have to square off against the other member of The Street Profits. It was officially confirmed during WWE’s The Bump on YouTube that last year’s Money In the Bank ladder match winner will be taking on Dawkins in a singles match, tonight. With Ford out of action, the former one-half of tag champs will definitely try to seek revenge on Otis.

WWE Smackdown Preview (18/06/21): Corbin vs. Nakamura

One of the most interesting storylines on the current Smackdown scenario is ongoing between King Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura as the latter one stole Corbin’s crown to fulfill the King of Strong Styles gimmick. Rick Boogs is helping him to keep the treasure, each week but now Corbin seems desperate to get that back.

After defeating Nakamura in singles action, Boogs again helped him to take away the crown leading Corbin to become irate. He filed a complaint to WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville who came up with the idea that Corbin and Nakamura will square off in a rematch, this week. The winner of this match will be declared the rightful owner of the King of the Ring crown that Corbin debuted after winning the tournament with the same name in 2019.

WWE Smackdown Preview (18/06/21): Hell in a Cell Match; Big Debut 80

Last week, Kevin Owens and Big E defeated Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews in a tag team match. After the match, Apollo was fuming over the fact that Big E and Owens could pick up the win due to him being stuck with Sami, outside the ring. Apollo then challenged the two of them to a tag team match with a huge advantage by his corner.

Commander Azeez will be his tag team partner who appears to be the next big monster of the SmackDown roster. At WrestleMania 37, Azeez helped Crews to win the IC Title. Since then, he has always been the Nigerian Idol’s corner in retaining that belt. Now he will officially be competing inside the squared circle that could be a piece of bad news for Owens and E.
