At WWE Elimination Chamber 2022, top Smackdown superstar Drew McIntyre is booked for his next PPV match against Madcap Moss. The match was announced following McIntyre’s return at the blue brand, last night since December of last year.
Elimination Chamber 2022 will mark a rematch from McIntyre’s win at WWE Day 1. Once the match was over, WWE wrote McIntyre out of the storylines at the same PPV event via an attack by Moss and Happy Baron Corbin, so that doctors can conduct tests on McIntyre due to his reported neck injury.

McIntyre then returned to action in Saturday’s 30-Man Royal Rumble match, earlier than expected, and continued the feud with Moss and Corbin by eliminating them from the Rumble match. Then he also delivered an attack with steel ring steps on the two of the heels.
As the road to Elimination Chamber 2022 continued on Smackdown, McIntyre come to the ring and revealed how a doctor told him the day after WWE Day 1 that he was going to miss the 2022 edition of Royal Rumble. He was also not supposed to be back for WrestleMania 38. But McIntyre looked the doctor in the eye, told him to kiss his a**, and got right back to work with his recovery.

McIntyre admitted that The Rumble appearance didn’t go as planned (he was the last elimination by Brock Lesnar) but he hopes to get a future showdown with Brock Lesnar, noting that they are now 1-1. Corbin interrupted McIntyre’s promo and taunted him while Moss went for a sneak attack from behind. But McIntyre caught Moss, as the segment ended with Drew planting Moss with a Claymore Kick.
He then promised to make Corbin’s life a living hell each week, and this was just the beginning. WWE then confirmed McIntyre vs. Moss for Elimination Chamber 2022.
