On the 20th anniversary of John Cena’s illustrious WWE career, the company has thrown a big celebration. The month of June was dedicated towards him while he himself was present on TV to be a part of the festivities. It was on June 27 in 2022 that WWE Universe witnessed the debut of the ‘babe ruth’ of the brand that he carried for the next 15 years.
With that debut, John Cena has also been synonymous with the infamous ‘ruthless aggression.’ Those two words have also been the first two words uttered by the then-young superstar on WWE television. But what about Vince McMahon who was the backbone behind that character?

John Cena revealed their backstage experience during his WWE debut
Before heading out to the ring that night, he apparently had a meeting with Mr. McMahon after getting pushed into his office where another head-honcho Michael Hayes asked the WWE Chairman, “What do we do with this?”
It was then that McMahon uttered his first words towards John Cena which was, “cut his f*cking hair.” After that, the franchise player was taken “out of the office.” He didn’t reveal whether he had to chop off his hair but going by history, the boss gets what he really wants. Then during his TV debut, John Cena would go on to slap Kurt Angle in the face resulting in a competitive match between the two. Despite his efforts, the debutant ended up losing against the main roster superstar. Later he would be endorsed by The Undertaker in a backstage segment as the American Badass shook his hands.
These moments eventually planted the seeds of a future superstar who is now having the highest number of world championship reigns in the history of sports entertainment. John Cena will be returning to WWE Raw on June 27 in order to celebrate his anniversary on television. Nothing has been mentioned on what he will be doing on the show, but recent rumors suggest that he and the United States Champion Theory could be involved in a summer program.
