After a long break of more than a year due to pregnancy, Lacey Evans made her return to WWE television in early 2022. She came back leaving the Sassy Southern Bell gimmick as WWE wanted her to be a hero among the masses due to her former marine duties. The good times for her barely lasted for a couple of weeks and she’s currently nowhere to be found.

After being assigned to Smackdown, Lacey Evans was moved to Raw, and then she was moved back to Smackdown in a confusing manner. The good thing was that she used to be a regular feature on WWE TV before she was pulled altogether from television on the July 29th episode of the blue brand. She was scheduled to compete in a match but that never happened.

Michael Cole stated that Lacey Evans wasn’t medically cleared to compete and since then we haven’t spotted her on TV until September 9 Smackdown. In the meantime, she’s likely enjoying her time away from WWE’s grueling schedule. Recently, she posted a couple of seductive pictures on her social media profiles to showcase her new hairstyle but she ended up reflecting on something else.

“New hair *color. Same Confidence,” was the caption in the photo.

Lacey Evans acted as a heel before being taken off TV

Since after comeback, earlier this year, Lacey Evans was never concretely projected as either babyface or a heel. Then she finally turned into a heel, proving the speculations true. She cut a promo before a tag team match and laid out her partner, Aliyah. For two consecutive weeks, she opted to forfeit the match.

After her villainous action, WWE had a backstage interview with Lacey Evans where she bragged about how the fans owe her for the previous work she’s put up for the people of the USA,

“I am everything that every woman, man and American should be. They should not only stand up and cheer for me but they should kiss the ground that I walk on.”

The following week, WWE advertised Lacey Evans vs. Aliyah for the second time but that match never happened. Aliyah ended up having a match with Shotzi as her original opponent never showed up. Since then, we haven’t traced the blonde head and we can only assume that some sort of injury forced her to stay out of action.
