A piece of unprecedented news arrived while coming out of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in the form of Liv Morgan’s injury. Being a workhorse talent and a popular reigning champion of the current roster, fans were concerned about the injury since WWE didn’t note what kind of injury she suffered.
Ultimately, the injury did cancel a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match on Raw. The good thing is that WWE Universe might not have to wait for a long time for Liv Morgan’s return. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the injury which is keeping WWE fans curious for the past couple of days. Although the exact nature of the injury hasn’t been revealed, it may not be too severe.
WWE Smackdown: Charlotte Flair’s In-Ring Return Could Be Imminent
“I don’t know what the injury is, and they didn’t say, but the way everything was played up, you know it’s not like if she was going to be out for a long time with this injury, she’d say she was out, and then they would take steps of stripping them of the belts. You know, it felt like it was something where, you know she’s going to be back very soon,” Meltzer discussed about Liv Morgan’s injury.
“They went on to do an angle with Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler and Raquel to obviously build up a tag title match, so you know, I mean I think it’s a short term thing with live. That’s certainly the impression that you would get.”

Liv Morgan got hurt on the May 12 episode of WWE Smackdown
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley and Dakota Kai) to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. It was during that match that one-half of the champions came out with the aforementioned injury.
This resulted in Liv Morgan getting pulled from another title defense against Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville on this week’s Raw. The planned title match was pushed back to a later date, yet to be notified.
Raquel then went on to face and defeat Chelsea in a singles match. After the match, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler returned and attacked Raquel on the mat. Ronda said Raquel will have to defend the Titles against them whether Liv Morgan is there or not. The current theory is that the injured superstar will eventually be seen in action with Raquel to protect their titles if she’s medically cleared, soon.
