Proving the recent report true, NXT Halloween Havoc 2022 is going to be the next WWE Network Specials from the NXT 2.0 brand. WWE officially announced the show’s return from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, October 22nd. Two matches with yet-to-be-fulfilled lineups have also been declared for the show.
This week’s NXT 2.0 episode on the USA Network opened with the former NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Solo Sikoa, and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels for a buildup toward a title match set for NXT Halloween Havoc 2022.

The latter pointed out that per the results of a fan vote, Hayes was supposed to defend the NXT North American Title against Wes Lee but he was attacked by Hayes and Trick Williams, backstage. Afterward, Siko competed against Hayes, and he became the new champion.
“I bought you both here because of the way the match ended last week,” Michaels said. “Solo, I admire you stepping up to the plate, but you competed in a match that you weren’t sanctioned to be in. You weren’t even a candidate for the fans to vote on. Therefore the results of that match can not stand. We need you to hand over the North American Championship. Sorry.”
It was then announced by HBK that Sikoa will no longer be considered a champion. Afterward, it was also revealed that Hayes will be competing in a Fatal-5-Way Ladder match for the vacant NXT North American Title at the NXT Halloween Havoc 2022 event.
Oro Mensah has then punched his ticket to NXT Halloween Havoc 2022 by earning a championship match opportunity. The previously known Oliver Carter from the NXT UK brand defeated Grayson Waller on last night’s NXT to qualify for the multi-person ladder match set for the upcoming WWE Network Specials from the NXT brand. Three more superstars will get the chance to compete in the ladder match.

Possible WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2022 main event

In the potential main event for NXT Halloween Havoc 2022, Unified NXT Champion Bron Breakker should face JD McDonagh for the title but that could still be altered. During last night’s NXT 2.0 main event, McDonagh defeated Tyler Bate to become the next challenger for the top prize of the NXT brand held by Breakker.
However, Ilja Dragunov from NXT UK made his shocking return to NXT 2.0 and had a face-off with both McDonagh and Breakker. As he declared his intentions to go after the NXT Title, the assumption is that NXT Halloween Havoc 2022 will most likely feature a Triple Threat involving all of these three superstars.
