Stacy Lee Carter is better known as The Kat for her tenure in WWE as a valet cum wrestler. While many of the acclaimed performers never had the opportunity to hold the Women’s Title in their care, she had the honor of capturing the gold. WWE allowed her to become a champion despite the fact that she never was a trained wrestler.
The championship win celebration is perhaps the biggest reason why WWE fans still remember her. During the Armageddon pay-per-view in December 1999, The Kat flashed her breasts in what appeared to be an intentional nudity sequence on then WWF TV. Even after that PPV, she was shown nude several more times on other pay-per-views, using the non-PG TV ratings.
For those who don’t know, The Kat has also been the ex-wife of the WWE Hall of Famer Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler. There was a time the two went through controversies regarding WWE releases. The company has been releasing so many people from contracts, throughout all these years depending on what Vince McMahon thinks of those talents. He doesn’t need any solid reason to trim down anyone from the roster.

The Boss is just not a gimmick but rather how he loves to work. In a recent story, it has been revealed how he fired The Kat from WWE in a sudden manner.
The Kat went nude on WWF TV on different occasions
Some of the fans did wonder what happened to the Diva who decided to go nude on TV on multiple occasions. Jim Ross said on Grilling JR Podcast that Vince McMahon once came to him while he was head of Talent Relations to inform him that The Kat needed to be released. The Boss apparently had the idea that this lady was tough to work with.
“She was a sweetheart, I thought, but she apparently, based on what the writers said, she was too hard to work with. So, they caught Vince on a day when he was not in a really great mood, apparently. I got called in Vince’s office, ‘I want her gone. What? ‘I want her gone today.’ So, you know, that’s where your job becomes very challenging,” JR talked about The Kat’s release.
“Look, there is no way I would have fired her, no matter what the writers said. Without talking to the writers and telling what did she do, that you believe merits her dismissal. Explain to me so that I know. I didn’t do that because I had no room to do that. I asked, ‘Can I do some checking around?’ ‘No, she’s gone. Well, you know, you got a decision-maker, Conrad. I would have done anything. I would have challenged Vince. Well, you’re stupid if you do that. That’s what he wanted.”

Jim Ross added that The Kat was fond of the professional wrestling business. Her marriage to Jerry Lawler increased her seriousness for the industry. This was the reason that he kept on asking about the storyline bringing the impression that she might be the difficult one to work with. Eventually, this appeared to be the reason behind her departure.
Jerry Lawler wasn’t happy about it and he left the company, too. Later, he came back to the company to work in commentary while her ex-wife was never seen, again.
