It’s almost certain that the reigning champion will retain against the part-time celebrity Superstar who got a sudden opportunity to feature in a title match. Afterward, a phenomenal feud could kick off on WWE programming.
Given the recent speculations, AJ Styles will be on the line over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against the title-holder Roman Reigns. Styles is a former two-time WWE Champion who will come back to the title picture after almost four years. Cageside Seats then reported that there is a backstage belief that Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles will soon be feuding on WWE programming. Since Survivor Series is scheduled after Crown Jewel, this match could go down at the last Big-Four Premium Live Event of the 2022 calendar year.
It has also been reported by several outlets that WWE is also considering Reigns vs. Karrion Kross sometime down the road. Hence, there could be conflicts around the champion’s next opponent until the feud actually begins. Until Crown Jewel passes by, things may not be clarified. Until then, WWE will utilize the untelevised events to test possible feuds for television. For the time being, Styles will continue to feud with The Judgment Day on Raw as the faction viciously attacked him.
Apart from Styles and Kross, Braun Strowman is also expected to face The Head of the Table in the near future to reignite a feud from five years ago. Now that Strowman is back in the WWE fold, it’s been reported that Strowman will be the top babyface on the SmackDown brand. So, at some point in the near future, he’s set to collide with the top heel of the company, Roman Reigns.
