The sudden departure of Stephanie McMahon from her CEO position at the WWE was viewed as a fatal one from the company’s perspective. The talents and corporate employees witnessed her as a sympathetic boss in comparison to how things used to be run by Vince McMahon.
Now, The Boss is back on the board as The Chairman and he will be in charge of running corporate things in the company while Triple H still has the rights to handle things in the creative department. To retain his spot it was previously reported that Triple H alongside his wife Stephanie McMahon was opposing WWE’s sale especially after rumors arrived that Vince was selling it to Saudi Arabia’s public investment fund.

While the Saudi rumors appeared to be false, WWE’s power couple was still supposed to be adamant about keeping the control of the company in their hands and not selling it to any of the interested candidates. However, these claims also appear to be false.

HHH and Stephanie McMahon want Vince McMahon to get rid of his WWE shares
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are very much open to a sale and they have their own logic behind it. Selling the company is perhaps the only option available on how they want Vince to get rid of his major chunk of shares in the WWE,
“One of them [the various stories about a WWE sale] was they were opposed to a sale. From what I am told, Paul and Stephanie, they are not opposed to a sale, and they knew that at some those Vince’s shares [he’s the majority shareholder of B-class stock] were an albatross, and at some point, somebody had to get rid of those shares anyway or Vince would take over.”
Vince McMahon left the WWE back in July amid investigations on a hush-money scandal. Apart from leaving his roles as Chairman and CEO of the WWE, McMahon also walked away from his duties on the creative team, handing the Co-CEO duties to Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan.
But then he shocked the wrestling world once again on the 6th of January 2023 when he took over the WWE’s Board of Directors along with former company co-Presidents Michelle Wilson and George Barrios in an effort to re-establish his authority. Shortly after that, Stephanie McMahon announced her departure from the WWE.
