WWE Universe was elated to see Brock Lesnar back in the scene at last night’s Summerslam PPV event. He wasn’t just there to have a face-off with the Universal Champion to indicate another mega showdown in the future. Once the PPV went off the air, he went physical with another former foe of him and literally destroyed him to pack him back to Hollywood.
WWE SummerSlam main event witnessed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns retaining his title over John Cena. When Reigns was celebrating his win, Brock Lesnar interrupted that session and had a staredown with Reigns, and Paul Heyman, who was also shocked by the return of his former client. Avoiding any sort of physical confrontation, The Tribal Chief walked away from the scene.

Brock Lesnar’s music backed up as Summerslam 2021 went off the air from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. In more updates to the scene, John Cena stumbled back into the ring following the main show as The Beast Lesnar observed him from the ringside. He went back to the ring and delivered a few German suplexes to the 16-time world champion. The attack finally ended as Lesnar planted Cena with the F5 finisher to leave him lying inside the ring.

Brock Lesnar took John Cena to Suplex City after Summerslam
Brock Lesnar laughed a bit and looked down at Cena before making his departure from the ring. He marched to the entranceway, looked back at the thrilled audience one more time before heading to the back.
Cena was spotted lying inside the ring with that devastating F5 as fans started tweeting about him getting ‘killed’ at the hands of the returnee. The attack also brought back a memory from Summerslam 2014 where the term Suplex City was born as Lesnar ragdolled Cena on that night in a similar fashion.
The set of actions had hinted that it’s time for John Cena to go back to a hiatus from his WWE schedule while Brock Lesnar is likely entering the championship picture on Smackdown. Cena is already booked for a movie filming schedule in the United Kingdom, later this month. So Summerslam might have ended his TV stint although he is advertised for WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden in September.
There’s no confirmed update on whether Cena will be back for that Smackdown episode in early September. WWE will definitely want Brock Lesnar to attend that high-stake show while it’s unclear at this point when he would perform in his first match following Summerslam return.
