As reported in recent times, WWE Superstar Lana was released among several other WWE Wrestlers due to a COVID-19 related budget cut. Since she was a regular performer in the WWE, it was a shocking incident for the WWE fans especially to those millions of people who follow her on social media. Now, she would probably look forward to wrestling for another big promotion once her 90-days no-compete clause ends.
It should be noted that Lana’s real-life husband Rusev was released from WWE last year on April 15, 2020. Afterward, he joined Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling under the name of Miro in September 2020. So there have already been some speculations over his wife probably heading to AEW, as well. This makes sense as the husband and wife would love to work under the same banner.
Lana Promised Big Things By Vince McMahon Before WWE Release
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was discussing the current pro wrestling landscape. He made a remark about Miro’s attempt to get AEW officials onboard so that his wife can eventually join the banner in the future to bring his wife in with him,
“Rusev was trying to get her in, you could tell from that promo he’s trying to get her in. You know, more power to him, they had a great act.”
Miro name-dropped Lana on purpose
What Meltzer was talking about, was a segment from AEW Dynamite this past Friday where Miro made a reference to how hot his wife is. This was the first real-time he acknowledged Lana on Dynamite on TNT it was said to be done on purpose. His wife also found time to react to those comments in an apparent adultery way. The reason is that he certainly wants his wife to join him on the road as and when AEW starts touring, down the road.
Oh @tobemiro, I saw your shout out to me on TV last. Hurry home. Xo pic.twitter.com/b3g69Ja8GR

It’s assumed that Miro and CJ Perry, fka Lana could present some bigger acts in AEW if given the opportunities. The Ravishing Russian from the WWE found new respect as she constantly tried to be better with her wrestling skills.
Back in the fall, WWE continued to throw her through announce tables on a weekly basis which also garnered sympathy toward him. Hopefully, sometime down the road, she will legit get the opportunity to hold on to a belt, somewhere else.
