One of the main events of Wrestlemania 38 was revealed during the January 31 episode of Monday Night RAW. Men’s Royal Rumble 2022 Winner Brock Lesnar came out and said that he wasn’t mad at WWE Champion Bobby Lashley but he’s mad at WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman.
Lesnar then announced his Wrestlemania 38 opponent and also hinted at upping the stakes,
“Don’t worry Bobby, it’s not you. At WrestleMania, I’m going to face Roman Reigns. But at WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is going to be Title vs. Title.”

After that, Lesnar challenged Lashley to a Title rematch, but MVP declined. Lesnar tried to infuriate Lashley by calling him a chicken sh*t but Lashley got angry, but MVP held him back. WWE Official Adam Pearce then announced that Lesnar will be one of the participants in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match and hence he will indeed get a chance to become the WWE Champion.

Wrestlemania 38: Reigns vs. Lesnar to be Universal Title match?
That being said, WWE has been teasing the idea of a Title vs. Title match at WrestleMania 38 but that may not be the case. Wrestling Observer is reporting that only the Universal Title will be on the line in the Reigns vs. Lesnar main event,
“I have been told multiple times that it is not title vs title, Roman vs Brock. But, they’ve done segments where both of them talk about Title vs Title — they’re telling you what they want but they’re not going to give it to them.”
During the Royal Rumble event, Heyman re-aligned himself with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who attacked Lesnar and thereby helped Bobby Lashley to become the new WWE Champion. Lesnar later won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match and got the opportunity to pick Reigns as his WrestleMania 38 opponent. The match has already been made official by WWE.
While Lesnar has already punched his ticket to Wrestlemania 38, he’s also booked to compete in the 2022 Elimination Chamber match on February 19 in Saudi Arabia. Lashley will defend his title inside the Chamber against Lesnar, Austin Theory, AJ Styles, Riddle, and Seth Rollins. This will also mark Lesnar’s debut inside the ominous steel cage structure.
