Chelsea Green has always been touted as one of the top emerging female superstars back in 2018. Starting in that year, the bombshell has spent almost two years of time in WWE but the tenure is mostly considered to be a letdown. Thanks to a series of injuries, unfortunate timing, and creative differences, she could have never portrayed herself as a top superstar in the company. Nothing changed for her after her arrival on the main roster.

After weeks of sitting out in the back, Chelsea Green was eventually let go by the WWE, and fans were disappointed with the move as it happened at a point when she recuperated from a hand injury. The timing was also bad since she got herself injured during her debut Smackdown match in November of 2020 and hence never got the chance to prove her potential on TV.

The good news is that WWE is now thinking about bringing back Chelsea Green to their main roster. WrestleVotes recently took to Twitter to reveal that the new creative team led by Triple H is showing major interest in signing the free agent who lives in Florida. It was also noted that she should show up on the main roster in case a deal is offered,

“I’m told another name WWE has significant interest in bringing back is Chelsea Green. I would think if a deal is offered, it’s for the main roster. Time will tell.”

Chelsea Green’s husband also used to work for the WWE

Only time will tell whether Chelsea Green gets back to the WWE in the near future. It will be interesting to see whether WWE would also be interested in her husband, Matt Cardona, also known as Zack Ryder in WWE. Since his WWE departure in 2020, Cardona has been performing in several promotions to reinvent himself as a serious wrestler, unlike the comedy character he played in WWE.

After suffering an injury in November 2020, Chelsea Green was released by WWE in the spring of 2021 as the COVID-19-related budget cuts continue within the company. Before that let-go, she broke her wrist twice, once in NXT and the second time during the first match of her main roster call-up on WWE SmackDown.

Following her WWE release, Chelsea Green made a surprise debut at Ring of Honor’s Best in the World pay-per-view event last July before returning to Impact Wrestling. Paired with Deonna Purrazzo, she also became the Impact Knockout Tag Team Champion, this past summer.
