Karrion Kross vs. WWE NXT Champion Keith Lee has now been made official for the NXT “Takeover: XXX” event that takes place, later this month.
Last night’s NXT episode opened with Karrion Kross defeating Danny Burch in a one-on-one contest. After the match, Keith Lee appeared in the ring bringing in the contract for their Takeover match to the ring. He cut an aggressive promo in response to the mind games played by Kross, who watched from ringside with Scarlett.

Keith Lee then tossed the NXT Championship contract to the floor and Kross signed on it. Scarlett kissed the contract and passed it back to the ring. Lee picked it up and opened but a fireball blew up in his face. Lee was then checked on by medical personnel and referees as Kross and Scarlett watched from the ramp. Lee was later taken away from the building in an ambulance.

Keith Lee has promised the NXT General Manager William Regal that he won’t put his hands off Kross until their match. In social media posts, it was later seen that he is trying to be okay as the title defense awaits him in less than two weeks.

The Velveteen Dream also returned to action during last night’s WWE NXT episode on the USA Network. WWE rumoredly had plans to release Dream over the past few months.
But he might be staying with the company after returning to TV for last night’s main event, which saw Cameron Grimes defeat Dream and Kushida to earn the third spot in the “Takeover: XXX” Ladder Match for the Vacant NXT North American Title.
Dream appeared as the mystery competitor for the match. Since Dream was not pinned or submitted in the match, he will compete next Wednesday night in a match facing Finn Balor in a Second Chance Qualifier for the Takeover Ladder Match. Ridge Holland vs. Johnny Gargano will also take place next week as a Second Chance Qualifier.
Dream seemingly turned heel by attacking Kushida as the crowd of developmental trainees booed him. Balor then came to the ring and confronted him in the middle of the ring as NXT went off the air.
