The road towards Extreme Rules 2022 continues through this week’s WWE Raw which has a title match set for the main event. United States Champion Bobby Lashley is set to defend his title against Seth Rollins in a mega match. In another major attraction, Kevin Owens will be seen in action against Mr. Money in the Bank. Plus, a superstar will have her homecoming on the September 19 episode that takes place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The potential main event match for WWE Raw was announced last week where we will see United States Champion Bobby Lashley putting his belt on the line against Seth “Freakin’” Rollins. This is going to be a fresh lineup and a treat for the WWE Universe as a top babyface goes to war against the top heel.

WWE Raw Superstar Alexa Bliss Truly Misses The Darker Version Of Herself From 2020

As seen last week, Rollins ran into Lashley backstage during WWE Raw. Rollins bragged as he mentioned himself to be “the face of Monday Night ‘Raw.'” Lashley wasn’t happy after hearing those words and told Rollins “he who has the gold is the face of Monday Night ‘Raw.'” Rollins wasn’t willing to go after that particular gold but then again he “would gladly take [it] off [his] shoulders.”

Thus, the challenge was laid down and The All-Mighty didn’t have any whatsoever problem accepting it. Lashley won the United States Championship for the third time in his career by defeating Theory back on July 2 at Money in the Bank. The champion then defended the title against various superstars on WWE Raw, including Ciampa, AJ Styles, and The Miz.

WWE Raw Preview (19/09/22): Championship Match; KO Vs. Austin Theory 1

Kevin Owens got involved in a heated war of words with Austin Theory on last week’s WWE Raw. He pointed out the fact that there have been guys like Austin who got fizzled out after going nowhere. But then there’re guys like him or Johnny Gargano who actually survived and made it to the top.

Austin wasn’t impressed with these tough words and he gave some words back to receive a slap. The two then started trading punches before WWE officials broke it up. The two still tried to pounce over each other as Theory got busted open in the brawl. Due to this brawl, KO versus Austin Theory has since been announced for this week’s WWE Raw as the two will try to settle their differences.

WWE Raw Preview (19/09/22): New challenge coming for champion?

In the final of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament two weeks ago, Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah defeated IYO SKY and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL to become the champions. The outcome was controversial after Aliyah pinned Kai who wasn’t legal in the match. As a result, WWE Raw witnessed a rematch between the two teams where the titles again changed hands.

SKY and Kai stood tall in the ring as the new tag champs. This time, Kai pinned Aliyah with her unique finisher. Bayley would be so proud of her teammates heading into this week’s WWE Raw that is being held in her hometown. She herself pinned Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at Clash at the Castle and tonight should be fitting that she demands her title shot, possibly at Extreme Rules.

WWE Raw Preview (19/09/22): Championship Match; KO Vs. Austin Theory 2

Last week on WWE Raw, Edge competed against Dominik Mysterio in a singles match in the main event capacity. It ended in disqualification after Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor targeted Edge’s leg and attacked it with a steel chair. Balor hit a Coup de Grace on the legs of the Hall of Famer that had possibly written him out of the storyline perspective.

With Edge out of action, Judgment Day will continue to stretch out their reign of terror on WWE Raw by possibly targeting someone new. Will the lone Rey Mysterio be able to do something about the heel faction? We’ll find out on the latest red brand episode.
