Less than two weeks away from Super ShowDown, WWE Raw airs tonight with multiple questions in-store. First and foremost, the Universal Championship match for the pay-per-view event is still not official. We look forward what the lineup is going to be for the prime title on that night as Brock Lesnar is targeting the belt yet again.
He is showing up on WWE Raw for two consecutive weeks and this time with a special agenda. He will declare his next challenge and we wonder whether it’s Seth Rollins or not. Becky Lynch is also waiting for her next title defense that we may get confirmations about on tonight. Also, will there be glimpsed of The Undertaker or Goldberg for their Super ShowDown contest? We will find these and more when WWE Raw emanates from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Last week, Brock Lesnar appeared on WWE Raw with Money in the Bank briefcase on his hand. It gives him the privilege to choose any champion of his choice to cash-in the championship contract and snatch away the title. But he may have decided to announce it much earlier so to denying the privilege. He is going to declare his next target on WWE Raw.
As of last week, Brock Lesnar had two options in the form of Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston, the two champions from WWE Raw and Smackdown. But the latter one has already received a challenge from Dolph Ziggler at Super ShowDown that leaves only Seth Rollins. The question remains whether Brock Lesnar will take the predictable route of choosing Rollins and thereby disappoint the fans. Or there will be a certain twist in the tale by which Lesnar will continue being Mr. Money in the Bank.
Becky Lynch is no more ‘Becky 2 Belts’ from Money in the Bank as Bayley took away her Smackdown women’s championship at Money in the Bank. Lacey Evans lost her scheduled matchup for the Raw title but she may have got over with the feud against Becky Lynch. So, WWE.com hinted that the Sassy Southern Belle might get another title opportunity,
“After defeating Lacey Evans at WWE Money in the Bank to retain her Raw Women’s Championship, Becky Lynch bested The Lady of WWE in back-to-back tag team matches on Raw and SmackDown LIVE. Despite these setbacks, The Sassy Southern Belle affirmed in a WWE.com interview Tuesday night that she has unfinished business with The Man and that she is “the future Raw Women’s Champion.” Will Evans earn another opportunity to battle Becky, or will another challenger emerge?”
Vince McMahon and the other officials are extremely high on Lacey Evans that might hand her the second title match. It will not take place in Saudi Arabia since the female competitors can’t participate in it. So we wonder when the next WWE Raw women’s title match happen.
Another title’s fate will be on the line on WWE Raw as the title-holder is dealing with an injury. Rey Mysterio is the concerned name who is the United States Champion but dealing with a separated shoulder. Plus, his Money in the Bank opponent Samoa Joe’s shoulder was clearly up when Mysterio pinned him. So Joe looks hell-bent on re-getting the title. In this situation, WWE Raw will address the situation of the US title. Mysterio may have to vacate his title if dealing with a concussion that takes a long time to heal up.
As per the wild-card rule, Superstars from Smackdown will continue to show up on WWE Raw. It probably ensures that Roman Reigns will attend the show for three consecutive weeks to continue beefing with Shane McMahon. He will also have to take care of business against Drew McIntyre after that sneak attack on Smackdown.
Chaos will be an integral part of WWE Raw courtesy of the 24/7 Championship. R-Truth is the present champion but mid-card superstars will try to take that away from him by any means. Plus, there will be a mandatory title defense on the show in the third hour. We will see if anybody new from the red brand can get his hand on the title.
