WWE SmackDown Preview (20/12/19): Daniel Bryan-Fiend, Roman Reigns, Tag Match
As 2019 approaches for closure, rivalries on SmackDown will be getting heated en route to Royal Rumble. However, there is plenty of time available for buildups and WWE will take a slow and steady route for the build-up process.
With that being said, tonight’s edition of SmackDown comes with the fallouts as we wait to see what’s waiting next in the title feud between Daniel Bryan and The Fiend.
Roman Reigns will be hell-bent on seeking retribution on King Corbin and his gang. Also, The New Day will look forward to having a new challenge from a fresh team when the show airs from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The championship feud between Daniel Bryan and The Fiend was heated up on TLC pay-per-view with the return of the latter one. He was back in a brand new look with vengeance in mind. Although the champ managed to escape, Bryan was able to send a message showing his aggression.
As reported by media outlets, SmackDown will go forward to build up the feud between these two as to culminate this at Royal Rumble 2020. As of now, WWE.com is also hyping up the segment in-store on SmackDown,
“With a new look that has many asking for his anti-aging techniques, Bryan has put the twisted titleholder on notice — and his eyeing of the Universal Championship signaled intentions of potentially presenting Wyatt another challenge.
How will Wyatt respond to Bryan’s brazen assault? Can Bryan use the Yes! movement to overcome the Universal Champion’s mind games? Catch Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 C on FOX.”
At WWE TLC, Roman Reigns was in full control of King Corbin until a bunch of goons decided to pounce on him. It took Dolph Ziggler, Dash Wilder-Scott Dawson and a bunch of security guards to put away The Big Dog as Corbin finally scored the victory.

But that was not the end of the story as Roman Reigns backfired by the end of the show and delivered a mammoth spear on Corbin to give a prelude of things to come on SmackDown.
The face of the brand is in a desperate position at this point who needs to do something to overcome the number-games. So we expect him to arrange some backups tonight and unleash on the 2019 King of the Ring winner.

After signing a new contract with the WWE, The New Day will continue to spread the Power of Positivity among the WWE Universe and so to spread the mood of the Holiday season.
They are up for a challenge from a team formed by two unlikely duos. Here’s more from WWE.com on the stored matchup on tonight’s SmackDown,
“Following a successful title defense at WWE TLC, The New Day will face Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro in a non-title match.
In the first edition of this matchup, the Intercontinental Champion & The Swiss Cyborg answered the champions’ post-Thanksgiving open challenge, but a well-timed Trouble in Paradise carried Kofi Kingston & Big E to the victory. Can Sami Zayn’s stable put The New Day on notice, or will the champions continue their dominance?”

The women’s championship rivalry took a backseat as WWE did want to hold the match for the next pay-per-view event. Lacey Evans is the supposed challenger in this picture who is feuding with Bayley.
The champion is having the upper-hand since she has backup all the time in the form of Sasha Banks.
The last time we have seen Lacey, she was down suffering an assault from the heel duo. Can The Lady make a valiant comeback and earn a championship match? We’ll find out when SmackDown airs on FOX, tonight.
As for tonight, Bayley will be getting ready to compete in a rematch against Dana Brooke as noted on WWE’s social media.
