There are certain names who’s been synonymous with the WWE, over the years. John Cena has been one of them as the company used him as the franchise player for almost 15 years.

Carrying the load for a huge timespan was not easy for him. But he pulled off the duties with ease that may have created a nag which is hard to leave. This is why the Cenation leader claimed to not retiring, ever.

Big plans waiting for Becky Lynch

As stated in a recent interview with Good Housekeeping, 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena received the question of retirement. With his growing age, it’s evident that people would continue asking about when he’d hang up the boots, forever. But apparently, the legendary name has no intention of doing so.

John Cena mentions WWE to be his home and family which is why he will continue to wave the company’s flag, forever. Thus, he does not want to detach himself from the WWE Universe. Unlike all of his predecessors, this man will stay true to his ‘never give up’ motto as mentioned in his below statements,

“WWE is my family, they’ll always be my family and none of any of this exists without them, and I will never forget that.

I don’t think I’ll ever retire, because I don’t look at it like that…You don’t retire from your family. I will never, ever stop waving the WWE flag…I don’t think I’ll ever separate myself from them.

As a 42-year-old, going to be 43 in April… I already know that I’m a little lighter, I’m a little slower, I’m not as strong, so all of the physical signs are like, ‘I’m here, I’m here, I’m here. I can’t lie to myself and say those things aren’t happening. They are. And either I accommodate my performance, or just say, ‘Hey, it’s time to do something different’.” (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)

Unlike John Cena, a WWE Hall of Famer announced retirement at Wrestlemania 35. It was Kurt Angle who digested a loss against Baron Corbin to stop wrestling.

He also noted on retirement during a recent interview with The Pop Break to reveal how tough it is to watch WWE knowing the fact that he can never be competing again,

“Right now it’s a little hard to watch. I mean when you make the transition from wrestling to retirement, you still want to be out there. So it’s a little difficult, but I’ve been handling it pretty well. It keeps me busy,” said Angle.
